Fittest impressions were good but Scott who is their valuer is a pushy salesman who tells blatant untruths and when challenged was very sarcastic.
We recently sold our fully refurbished house, i must say... the gentleman who came to value our property was a smooth talker and promised all sorts, how they will contact everyone on their "So Called" database and people in London are really looking to buy!
When we did choose Roger Platt, we explained to the gentleman everything about the house so potential viewers can see what they are getting. They managed to get two viewings, the gentleman didn't even show the viewers everything my husband went through with him.
When we got our buyers, a few weeks later... they posted us a letter to ask to see us and visit again as they had a few questions, they struggled to reach Roger Platt. We showed them around again, they mentioned how shocked they were with the fact they weren't shown everything... including half of the kitchen as ours was a "U" shape.
Roger Platt failed to make contact to update us throughout the process and my husband had to do a lot of chasing...
We did build a great relationship with our buyers but its crazy how much commission these people get paid for doing absolutely nothing!!! Even the day of exchange, Roger Platt didn't even contact us to arrange keys or time to collect. The buyers again, went to Roger Platt who mentioned to us, it's fine to give the keys... no reason to drop them into us!
To be honest, its all about sales and the aftercare is horrend!!! They are useless... avoid where possible! Me and my husband regretted choosing them!!!
The £5K fee you pay these people is ridiculous!
We are buying again and will sell in the future and these people won't be getting our business nor recommendation! Awful!

this is second time buying property with them.
Absolute shocking service and wonder how the landlords are asking these estate agents to sell their properties. We were booked a viewing at 3.15pm and at 3.14pm we receive a call (when we are standing at the property) from them asking not to attend the viewing as the tenant is away! When asked why they couldn't inform earlier then the reason was that Imran (the person showing us the property) was not in office?! Was he the only person in office?! Whats the point of having mobile phones we ask! We had to chase the estate agent 3 times just to get the property address in the first place. Worse outcome was that within 3 days the property is sold without we given an opportunity to view the property! Dreadful customer service and estate agents.
My house had been on the market with two other estate agents for a few months, they were unsuccessful in marketing my property. Within 2 days of having my house marketed with Staple and King my property went under offer, the sale has gone through within 7 weeks.

The branch Manager Steve, strung us along for the ride to get a better offer for 10 days! When apparently it was sold 10 days ago. The manager and staff lied about the offers being put forward from us etc. Absolutely appalled by their service and dishonesty. Agents like this give other agents a bad name. Very frustrating for investors and home-buyers!
Having come from a bad experience with Purple Bricks, I decided to go back to the High Street by using Chancellors to sell my 2 bedroom apt in Slough. As soon as I walked into the office I knew that these were the people to sell it for me. Can't fault them, worked hard to sell the apt, kept me informed of the progress throughout which works for me.
Well done Slough branch, I will no doubt use them again in the future.
