Good advice was given in a timely manner and subsequent successful sale. Special thanks to Marcy Campbell in the Ormskirk office.

Everyone I dealt with was helpful, friendly and always happy to answer any questions or queries I had. A special mention to Louise, who I dealt with throughout the process. She always went the extra mile and kept me updated every step of the way.
2nd Oct 2026 (4 weeks ago)Joel, Paula and the team are absolutely lovely. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do and, more importantly, about the people they’re dealing with. Buying or selling a home is such a big thing, and they really understand that. They take the time to listen, pay attention to the little details and make sure you feel looked after every step of the way. It’s the little things they do that make such a difference and put you at ease. You never feel like just another customer. I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. A proper lovely team who go above and beyond.
10th Nov 2025 (11 mo. ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!

15th Jun 2026 (20 weeks ago)The initial meeting to value the property, the subsequent meeting to take photos and the organising of the paperwork was great, we were impressed, which was why we went with them. Unfortunately, after 14 weeks on the market they had only got us 2 viewings and their communication to us was a bit hit and miss, so we decided to go with a different agent. They weren’t the right agent for us on this occasion.

18th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)I have worked with the team at Charlesworth Estate agents for both buying and selling properties for a number of years and I can honestly say there is nothing the team can not assist with they are extremely accommodating when booking viewings fitting around you rather than you working around them. The ladies are the backbone of the operation Adele Janet and Laura they are the Charlies Angels of Estate Agents with Bob (Charlie) in the back ground supporting his team. So if you are looking for a trustworthy and efficient sale or purchase in and around Westhoughton look no further than Charlesworth Estate Agents.

It was a pleasure doing business with them.

They have guided me through the necessary steps and I feel very much at ease leaving everything in their clearly capable hands. Update - after multiple properties let, my opinion hasn't changed. Duffins. have certainly proved they both talk and walk the walk! As I was out of town during the sale, they went out of their way to help by arranging cleaning and resetting the electric meter. They gave honest advice about not spending money on unnecessary improvements and always responded to my emails promptly.<br><br>A reliable, helpful and professional team who made the whole process much easier. I would happily recommend them.

We bought our first home here, and the staff were so friendly and kept us informed of even the smallest changes or progression.
