17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.
6th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)The team at Toomey looked after one of my properties (rental) and helped with the sale of the same property after a few years. It means I got to work with Laura (and Kim) on the rental side and with Frank during the sales process. Suffice to say the entire team are consummate professionals who provide a very unique and custom service all round. Having moved the property from a larger franchise estate agent, the service provided by the team at Toomey was by far better and value for money. Laura and Kim oft go over and beyond what they're supposed to do and on numerous occasions helped solve some pretty tricky issues. The sales process was equally professional and friendly with Frank demonstrating good knowledge of the housing market in the area & an uncanny ability to match buyers and sellers effectively. His commitment to both buyer and seller is unparalleled and he remained engaged throughout a very tricky sale. It's a bitter sweet moment that our contractual relationship with this team has come to an end. I unreservedly recommend the team at Toomey and wish them all the best for the future.

6th Mar 2024 (11 weeks ago)I first met Paul and Tanya when I bought my house, nearly a decade ago. When it came to selling it I didn’t hesitate to contact Clarke Gammon again. In my experience they have always been friendly, polite and professional. If you are like me and appreciate the extra attention to detail then I would recommend using them. Somebody from the team is always available to receive calls and reply to emails promptly. Selling or buying a house is not always plain sailing so you want a good agent like them to help resolve issues efficiently and effectively. I am happy to say that the house I am buying is through them also. Thanks to everybody at the Haslemere office! Tanya was very helpful, all the time she worked on our house sale. Always friendly, prompt with communications and happily to provide helpful advice. It was a shame that she moved to a different job prior to completion. However, this was fine because Paul took over the reigns with the same level of care and attention. Friendly and helpful people that clearly enjoy their job, and it shows. Update on purchase: This will be the third time I have had the good fortune to be using the services of Clarke Gammon Haslemere. In my experience everybody at the Haslemere office has always been top class. This purchase, like any other, has had testing moments but Paul did everything humanly possible to help. Often going beyond what you would expect of an estate agent. Communication and promptness was second to none. Thanks very much and I do hope our paths cross in the future. Although we are very happy with the new house so won’t be moving anytime soon.
9th Apr 2024 (6 weeks ago)Davina was superb at showing us properties that met our criteria, she was very knowledgeable about all thr properties we viewed and we never felt pressured to put an offer on a property if it wasn't quite right. She kept refining her list based on our feedback and would regularly let us know if properties were coming to the market soon, so we could arrange viewings before they hit RightMove. It was great to have a single point of contact and I would highly recommend Hamptons.
30th Apr 2024 (19 days ago)1st class from Nick and the team in the Ash Vale office. Throughout selling our house Nick has worked tirelessly and persistently to reach exchange of contracts. There where some challenges along the way however we where always provided with confidence that MacKenzie Smith where on top of these. Would highly recommend and certainly would not think twice about using MacKenzie Smith in the future.- 7th Dec 2022 (1 year ago)We are glad that we chose Hamptons Estate Agents in Alton to sell our property, as from the off they showed that they were professional and prepared to be fully engaged in supporting us through the process. From the initial valuation from Adam, the ultimate professional, to the ongoing chasing and updating by Kathleen, we felt that they could not have done better. Kathleen, in particular, showed great tenacity in dealing with a number of issues, often overcoming the weaknesses of other parties in the chain, due in part to her skill at building relationships. She was so pleasant to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. I am happy to recommend the team at Hamptons.

Passionate about our house, and the area, competitively priced and communicative and reassuring throughout. This combination of things also meant we managed to achieve a higher price than what any of the other agents quoted when choosing a vendor. It really does pay to use somebody who is as passionate about your house/area as you are! Big thanks to the whole team, highly recommended!

We felt that we could trustJohn and Franco, from our previous experience. And true to form they where extremely professional responsive and helpful throughout the process.
