The property was continuously let throughout that time; Savills always found excellent tenants and provided first-class support, including when a complete kitchen refurbishment was undertaken. Knowledgable and efficient with the viewings and sales team and then dedicated sales progression stayed on top of everything throughout the sale, until completion. Mainly liased with Grant and Janine who were friendly, professional and attentive. Highly recommend Hamptons St Albans.

As first-time buyers, we really appreciated how supportive and approachable they were throughout the entire process.<br><br>They were always easy to get hold of, quick to respond, and more than happy to talk through any questions we had, no matter how small. They even invited us to their office for a more detailed chat, taking the time to walk us through everything and make sure we felt comfortable at each stage.<br><br>What really stood out was how proactive they were in keeping things progressing smoothly, while also ensuring everything was handled efficiently and with care.<br><br>Overall, they made what could have been a stressful experience feel straightforward and well-managed. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

11th Jul 2026 (24 days ago)We booked a viewing with Jo and we arrived 15minutes early. Waited 45 minutes in total. Called them from the start multiple times about their estimated eta. Always said back coming soon. No correspondence from them about lateness. They never showed up or told us to reschedule. Extremely disappointing. Never experienced this with any letting agency ever. Could not be trusted as reliable.

13th May 2026 (12 weeks ago)We recently dealt with Cassidy & Tate in St Albans (specifically Lucie) during the purchase process for a property. We submitted three offers, all of which were ultimately rejected, which in itself is not the issue. The concern is the communication style and overall handling of the sales process. After our viewing, I was the one who followed up to express our interest in making an offer, rather than receiving any proactive follow-up call. From that point onwards, communication was conducted entirely via email with no telephone contact at any stage. On multiple occasions, we asked whether our position could be communicated directly to the vendors by phone, particularly as we are first-time buyers with no chain and the property required significant renovations. However, we were told that communication with the vendors was also being handled via email rather than direct telephone discussion. Even when we increased our offer and specifically requested that our position be verbally communicated to the vendors to help properly present our circumstances, we continued to receive email responses confirming rejection, without any direct conversation taking place. Overall, the process felt very passive in terms of sales approach and negotiation. In our experience, there was no telephone-based engagement or active selling of our position to the vendors, which is something we would typically expect from an estate agent acting in a sales capacity. While we appreciate that offers are not always accepted, we were disappointed with the lack of proactive communication and the absence of any real attempt to progress negotiations beyond email exchanges. We will actively try to avoid purchasing a future property through Cassidy & Tate going forward.

8th Jul 2026 (27 days ago)On numerous occasions I have returned their calls. They in return say they will call back ? So I call back, next time they are still at lunch 2pm. They promise to pass on that I am trying to return their calls. Nothing happens ?<br>They have very poor communication skills both with landlords and renters. I am just in the middle, and seldom hear back.<br>In the end for years ( 16 ) to be precise I have put up with freezing cold winds coming through my bathroom window, and they promised to speak to the landlord, over and over again. It was not before I held some of my rent money back I got a reaction, and 6 months later on, I eventually got a new window. Now I am fight for the next ones.<br>Meanwhile rent goes up. Maybe we have a public tribunal on our hands ? Out of the three different estates agents, this property has been rented out by, Leaders are the worse by far.

Cancelled appointments and numerous excuses throughout, it’s ironic that they sell themselves as a more bespoke and individual service when actually I felt the complete opposite. Josh was our agent and I wouldn’t recommend.

As you can imagine, despite there being moments of hair-pulling frustration, there was always humour throughout the whole process. As I said to David once we had exchanged, I wouldn't hesitate to use him again if we were to sell our property in the future. I would highly recommend him, he is professional and gets the work done!- 11th Jul 2026 (24 days ago)Title: Unacceptable delay returning deposit — over 6 weeks and still waiting<br><br>Review:<br>I vacated 1 Crackley Meadow, Twin on 29 May 2026. It is now 13 July 2026 — more than 6 weeks later — and I still have not received my deposit back.<br><br>I paid rent on time, every month throughout my tenancy, left the property in good condition, and have done everything required of me. I have emailed repeatedly, called both Hemel Hempstead and Watford branches many times, and yesterday spoke to Jamie who promised a manager/director would call back — nothing has happened.<br><br>This is not just bad service — it is unreasonable and illegal under UK tenancy rules. Deposits should be returned promptly when there is no dispute. It feels like my money is being held deliberately for no good reason.<br><br>I am now claiming formal compensation and will escalate this to The Property Ombudsman and my deposit protection scheme. Do not rent through this company if you want your money back when you move out — they will drag their feet and ignore you.
