Buying or selling a home is such a big thing, and they really understand that. They take the time to listen, pay attention to the little details and make sure you feel looked after every step of the way. It’s the little things they do that make such a difference and put you at ease. You never feel like just another customer. I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. A proper lovely team who go above and beyond.

28th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)We were the ones communicating with them rather than them keeping us up to date. The first viewing out of only 3 only took 8 minutes which is not long enough. We did let them know. Overall not great at all, hence moved agents.
15th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)I visited the office to return my keys. While signing paperwork, I overheard three members of staff mocking a family who had just left. The family were not native English speakers and had complained that the property they were due to move into was too dirty to occupy as planned.<br><br>Hearing staff ridicule customers for raising concerns about the cleanliness of their new home was deeply unprofessional. As a white bystander, I also felt the mocking had a racial undertone. The incident left me with a very poor impression of how this agency treats its customers.<br><br>I would rate 0 stars if I could.- 13th Oct 2026 (17 days ago)The Didsbury office team have been amazing. 10th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)Staff at Main and Main, in particular Kimberley Critchley, the Lettings Director, were outstanding in their level of knowledge, assistance and communication regarding the letting of my properties. Nothing was too much trouble and I was very happy to leave them to let my properties over a number of years. I would certainly be happy to recommend them to anyone.<br>They have also been extremely helpful in the recent sale of a property for me and, again, I would certainly recommend them.

29th Aug 2026 (9 weeks ago)I had a very disappointing experience with Balmer & Co and would not recommend them based on my experience as a tenant.<br><br>While I was living at the property, part of the kitchen ceiling collapsed. Despite the seriousness of the issue, I was left living with the damaged ceiling for around three months before it was finally repaired. During that time, I repeatedly tried to get the issue resolved, but my communications were often ignored and the overall level of service was extremely poor.<br><br>The problems continued at the end of my tenancy. Balmer & Co claimed that there were marks and scratches on the walls and sought deductions from my deposit. However, I had video evidence showing that those marks were already there before my tenancy.<br><br>The most concerning part of my experience happened when I went to their Atherton office to ask for an explanation about the DPS deposit request. I handed my phone to Rachel so she could look at the DPS request and explain to me what was happening. Instead of simply explaining it to me, she pressed the “Accept” option on my phone.<br><br>I had not handed her my phone to accept the request on my behalf. I gave it to her so she could look at it and explain the situation to me. Once the request had been accepted, I was no longer able to dispute the deductions through the normal DPS process.<br><br>I later contacted DPS about what had happened, but by that point the request had already been accepted.<br><br>Overall, my experience was extremely poor: around three months living with a damaged kitchen ceiling, repeated lack of communication, disputed claims about the condition of the property despite me having video evidence, and finally the way the DPS request was accepted on my phone when I had only asked for an explanation.<br><br>Based on my experience, I would strongly advise tenants to keep photographs and videos of the property from the beginning of the tenancy, keep all communication in writing, and never hand over control of their DPS account or phone when discussing a deposit dispute
