Huge thanks to all at LR for everything you've done in recent months in coordinating our imminent (hopefully) sale and purchase. We enjoyed working with everyone involved and appreciated some good advice early on in the process to get things moving. But biggest thanks of all to Jamie Davis for help in the closing stages. Would definitely recommend LR to anyone in the area looking for an Estate Agent.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We purchased our house through them in 2015. It all stared well, but as our offer got accepted and moved on to next stage the ordeal began. Our offer was accepted late July, we were told there was no chain and the seller is ready to move out as soon as we can get paperwork done. This turned out be a load of bunk. The seller used to "disappear" for weeks impacting the progress, not responding to queries raised by the solicitors. Paul Ryan who was dealing with the case from Lawrence Rand wasn't very helpful either. During the course he went on leave without giving an hint he was planning to do so. We never got any honest answers as to why the delay despite everything being in order from our side. Phone calls to his office or emails asking for updates rarely got returned unless the email was marked to Peter Lawrence. This was our first home purchase and with so much delay we were not sure what was happening, if there were to be gazumped, whether the deal is going to go through or not, it was very stressful for us. Finally we got the keys towards end of Nov. To our surprise the seller left all his unwanted stuff(mostly rubbish) behind. And he took away some of the fittings/fixtures that he earlier agreed to leave! When we requested Lawrence Rand if they can contact the seller and get the house cleared, all we got was "we will pass the message" and that's it. We never heard anything back. We were never given the contact details of the seller so there was no way possible for us to reach him. We also found out in the week that followed that someone else had signed up for Council Tax payment and another person had signed up for Gas and Electricity for the property. We managed to sort this out ourselves, not not sure how it happened in first place. Had Lawrence Rand been clear with their communication instead of keeping us in dark this experience would have been much better. I guess in a seller driven market, with properties in short supply and high prices, its the buyer which is at the receiving end and the estate agent only cares for the seller from whom ultimately the profits come! And today morning I received a phone call from them asking if I was interested in selling my house due to an increased demand for properties in my area! Good grief!
We have just concluded a sale with Woodward Estate Agents having just sold a house that we bought through them in 2009. It was an easy decision to go back, they are always professional and responsive and really are experts in the local market. Special thanks to Martin and Marie.
We took a property for rent through them in harrow. The inventory check-in was done in a hurry and the inventory clerk told us he has other appointment so he needs to hurry and got us to sign on a blank paper.( agree it's our mistake but we trusted them). Next just in 2 weeks time, the flat has mold/fungus issues--major ones. All of the wall was painted and covered with wallpaper to hide and misrepresent the facts. And when we told them there are mold issues, the agent made a visit and told us off that we were responsible for the mold. The flat also had leaks from the roof etc, and guess what they asked us to use a bucket to contain the water leaks !! We had to fight a lot to get out of it in 4 months and even after that, they made false claims and tried to overcharge us for cleaning and etc. in the flat. We went to TDS and got the right justice. Just be very careful with these guys-- totally avoid them! Worst agents ever in my last 6+yrs in this country. Attaching some pics of the wall with mold and one with stripped wall paper to show the problems existed before we came in but they were trying to blame us and rip us off of our money.
This was my first time renting in UK and Vishal Patel from Winkworth Harrow made it super easy for me. He is readily available and walked me through steps for an easy transition. Not just while moving in, the property itself is very well managed.
I am very happy I went with Winkworth Harrow
Won't recommend at all. They are lying all the time. For internet we are waiting already 3 months and still nothing, of course only i have a problem in their opinion but almost everybody from Kirkfield House are disgusted and also fighting with this agency. No communication at all , they are not responding for letters and email. Is that professional to send a positive feedback by emloyees? I dont think so.
I am delighted as the moving out of previous tenants and the moving in of the present one was smooth without myself incurring any loss of rental.
The advice and promptness of reply given by Chase Evans was exemplary.
Shaid miah lied how much it coast to live in.
The whole team didn't fixed our heating for 4 months ( did it myself after being super sick)
Kept a deposit of 3000 for noooo reason!!!
Omar Zebibo did nothing
Chanelle da Silva nothing
Kris chen nothing
Our experience with foxtons has been great. We are close to having our flat completed and they have been great to assist us so far. I must mention that Sean especially, has been super helpful throughout this process and has kept up a great line of communication to keep us in the loop throughout the process. Thanks very much!
AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Was good until end but, on the day of completion they
1.failed to keep the same price with the buyer. I lost a lot of money and
2. Could not manage the chain properly. I had a buyer standing on my head as if we are being evacuated from our house and my pregnant wife and parents were rushing to make it easy for the buyer. They should have given at least 4 hrs for me to be able to move. I got the keys at 2pm and the buyer was at my door at 4pm.
Worst ever agents and directors are even worse. AVOID!!!!!
Who ever is looking for a new home I highly recommend to work with Carlos Torres as he focuses on meeting your personal requirements. Carlos is professional, punctual and attentive. Highly appreciate all his help!
Made an enquiry and specified my budget and requested no time wasting. Before arriving for the viewing, I requested photos and prices of the property. I was then taken to viewings with properties which were way above my budget and I was subsequently insulted that I could not make a higher offer. I was informed that a higher offer had been made but the property is still on their website. I was also taken to a property which I had already viewed before and was told that the price was £1250 when in fact it was listed for £1150. Appalled by their level of desperation. Will make a formal complaint to the regulatory body as taking advantage of ordinary people is part of their daily routine. Their staff are not just rude but also skillful in making up information to their advantage. They will most likely reply denying everything.
