However, we eventually completed the sale and purchase which went very smoothly. Hannah & James were extremely helpful throughout the process and also chasing the buyer to eventually get the mortgage of the place.

21st Sep 2024 (21 weeks ago)You might find many positive reviews from sellers, but I strongly advise first-time buyers to steer clear of this agency. When I viewed the property, I was assured it was in excellent condition, with the exception of the boiler being a bit old. However, as recommended to me, I still arranged for a independent survey. Due to an unexpected emergency, the survey was delayed by a week. This delay wouldn’t have affected the sale since the completion date was still a month away. Despite this, the agency contacted me, pressuring me to cancel the survey because the seller was growing impatient (a tactic that, in hindsight, seems manipulative). Unfortunately, I felt I had little choice, as the house I was renting was soon to be sold. It turned out that the house suffered from severe mould and damp issues - an information that was withhold from me during the viewing and that would have been revealed in the survey. Fixing these problems has already cost me several thousand pounds. I strongly discourage first-time buyers, especially my NHS colleagues who need to buy in this area for work, from using this agency. He's kept in touch, offered advice, answered my questions to the best of his ability, getting those he didn't have immediate answers for and was extremely helpful when it came to arranging my viewing. he's been very professional and courteous throughout.

My elderly parents really got along with him and he was very professional and made us feel very comfortable when viewing these properties. Definitely great guy and Foxtons is very lucky to have him.

Our viewing was carried out by Stuart and was the most relaxed and client-centred viewing we have ever had. Then following the acceptance of our offer Lucy took the reins and what could have been a very stressful process was made so much easier thanks to Lucy. She did the chasing, the phoning around and kept us at ease throughout. Thank you to everyone at Platform Property.
29th Oct 2024 (16 weeks ago)Selling a leasehold property can be daunting, and the process comes with many hurdles, but I’m glad we chose Black and Blanc as our estate agent. For starters, the way they present your property to the market is excellent, offering a very immersive experience. Once we found a buyer, the sale of my flat presented some challenges. Rhianna and, at the time, Ellie did an absolutely fantastic job—always following up with the buyer, conveyancers, and chasing up whoever needed to be chased. I cannot express enough my gratitude. If I had to sell another property, I would definitely appoint Black and Blanc again.

27th Dec 2024 (7 weeks ago)We asked 5 different Estate Agents to come see the house, to explain what was needed for us to get it on the market and importantly, for us to get the most realistic and honest appraisal. Matt was the last agent we saw and we knew immediately we would go with him. Matt took his time to explain things properly, he was honest either way us and realistic. This helped us to manage our expectations and to be able to plan better. Matt was involved at every step of the full process at all times. He ensured movement kept up momentum at the buyers end and helped us navigate some of the challenges. Matt’s approach blunted a degree of stress from the process which really helped. I can’t recommend Matt (Waymour and Parr) enough. Thank you Matt.

They marketed the property very well, took great photographs (even swept up the back yard!) and got a lot of viewings booked in on the opening weekend. More than anything they communicated with us well, replying to e-mails at all hours, and really pushed the solicitors on both sides to get the sale completed quickly. I would happily recommend them to anybody in the area.

5th Nov 2024 (15 weeks ago)Yes, Very Good, have Landlords overheads very much at heart. Answer phone promptly & politely, always return calls (makes a welcome change) Recommended, also Audit Trail paperwork sent promptly at months end, no need to nag repeatedly.
24th Jan 2025 (24 days ago)Me and my family were with Galloways Estate Agents for the past 12 and a half years. Our personal contact was Steve and cannot say enough great things about him. He has always been super friendly, kind, always proactive with any problems we incurred. It was a shame to leave Galloways after such a long time, but the landlord was selling the rented property and was out of our control. Every time I personally spoke with Steve, he was always really helpful. In September 2023 an incident occurred where the ceiling in my bedroom collapsed and has to be repaired. He immediately came to personally see the damage, organised for a company to come and repair it and within 2 month it was looking like brand new. We will definitely miss Steve being out point of contact and Galloways in general, a shame they were unable to find us a new property in the surrounding area. It was a pleasure to be with Galloways for that many years and to live in West Norwood. Thank you very much for everything Galloways and Steve. It really was amazing to be your tenants all those years and wish you nothing but success and all the best going forward. Keep making future tenants happy and providing amazing service.
