7th Sep 2026 (7 days ago)Not sure if our experience was down to the average age of the staff at the ilkeston branch of Burchell Edwards, but feel they neither managed our (Seller) or the buyers expectations during the viewings of which we had many, but no offers. On changing agents within 7days and 3 viewings we had 2 offers!!!!! I suppose the moral of this story is choose the right agent.??????

5th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)We were given a valuation band of 200-250k (which in itself is outrageous), we were assured we could reasonably expect to receive over 225k for the property . We listed for 235 on their advice and grossly overpriced ourselves as a result. The interior photos in the listing were great, the exterior photos were unflattering and utilised drone shots on a crowded street - we had to ask for the lead photo to be changed. Proactive communication was absolutely non-existent, had to request every change in valuation, had to chase the mortgage in principle certificate, reduce the value numerous times. We only held a viewing for one couple (twice), which we had to conduct ourselves. As a result of the pricing strategy, we did not sell and lost the house we wanted. In addition, even delisting was farcical and the property was still live several weeks the agreed delisting date. Simply put, the pricing strategy was incorrect from the off and the enormous portfolio this agent holds is at a severe detriment to it's customer care.

24th Aug 2026 (21 days ago)Used Dean Bickley for our mortgage and would recommend him 100%. We didn't use bairstow eves. Dean helped with every step of the process, and explained terms to us in the process which, as first time buyers, we didn't understand. They are an extremely professional, friendly and reliable team who are always a pleasure to deal with.<br><br>Communication is excellent, everything is handled efficiently, and it’s clear they genuinely care about both their landlords and tenants and about maintaining properties to a high standard.<br><br>Lesley in particular is always approachable, organised and great to work with, and the same can be said for the rest of the team. A very well-run letting agency with a great group of people behind it.<br><br>Would highly recommend Belvoir West Bridgford to any landlord looking for a professional and dependable team to manage their property.

I was initially a little hesitant after hearing from a neighbour that I might hardly hear from Rod, but I’m very happy to say I had absolutely nothing to worry about!<br><br>Aaron and Emily were fantastic — always quick to respond, keeping me regularly updated and incredibly helpful despite the time difference. I especially appreciated that they checked on the property regularly, which gave me great peace of mind while I was working within a budget. I understand there is normally a charge for this, as there was with most of the other agents I spoke to, so I really appreciated their courtesy in making the process as stress-free as possible for me while I was abroad.<br><br>They genuinely made what was a daunting process feel somewhat easier. I always felt comfortable reaching out whenever I was anxious or had a question, and there were many! I’m grateful for their support and would happily recommend the team at Alexander Jacob.

Donna was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the whole process, keeping me constantly updated and always making sure I knew what was happening. Her professionalism, knowledge and expertise were invaluable in navigating the potential issues that arose along the way. Donna was genuinely ‘on it’ the whole time and went above and beyond to keep everything moving and make what could have been a very stressful process so much easier. Although I hope I will never move again, if I were to do so, I would definitely use Freckleton Brown again. Thank you, Donna, for all your hard work and support.

They were instrumental in helping us complete our sale and purchase during a particularly tricky process—not through any fault of their own. Matt and Harry were fantastic, with excellent communication, and went above and beyond throughout the process. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

22nd Mar 2026 (25 weeks ago)Associate director consciously chose to breach trust rendering my relationship with the company as both a seller and buyer, completely untenable. My interests were entirely secondary as demonstrated by their actions. I received assurances they weren’t prepared to uphold, was made promises they weren’t prepared to keep and set expectations they weren’t prepared to follow through. Avoid this estate agent and use one of the many others available.

The whole process was quick and completely hassle-free, and he made everything feel very easy and straightforward.<br>He was genuinely lovely and helpful, and I really appreciated how friendly and professional he was. A great first experience moving into my new apartment! ??????

7th Sep 2026 (7 days ago)Avoid Avoid Avoid.<br>Very disappointing and unacceptable service from Frank Innes Bingham<br><br>I would strongly advise anyone considering renting a property through Frank Innes in Bingham to think very carefully before proceeding. Our experience with their customer service from the very beginning has been extremely disappointing.<br><br>I would give one star only for the property viewing. Unfortunately, everything after that has been a very poor experience.<br><br>Frank Innes were fully aware that we were moving from Essex, yet we were asked to travel all the way to Bingham simply to sign the inventory document. I had to drive approximately six hours just to complete this paperwork, which was extremely inconvenient and unreasonable considering our circumstances.<br><br>However, the worst experience happened on the day we moved. We were already travelling with all our household belongings when we received a call informing us that the property had no electricity and that we would need to arrange this ourselves. This information should have been communicated to us well before our moving day.<br><br>It was a Saturday afternoon, and we were unable to contact the electricity supplier immediately. As a result, we were left without electricity and had to stay in a hotel for two days, despite having already moved our belongings and being ready to move into the property. This caused us significant inconvenience, stress and additional expense.<br><br>To make matters worse, we were provided with a mouldy fridge, which was extremely concerning from a hygiene and health perspective. We contacted Frank Innes multiple times by email regarding these issues, but received little to no response.<br><br>We even went personally to the Bingham office to try to resolve the situation. Instead of actually dealing with the problem, we were simply told to send an email. We showed the staff the emails we had already sent, and we were then told that a message would be sent internally so that someone could respond. This is not the level of customer service I would expect from a professional letting agent.<br><br>The whole experience has been incredibly stressful, especially when you are moving your entire household from another part of the country and relying on the letting agent to ensure the property is ready for occupation.<br><br>Communication has been extremely poor, the handling of the move was unacceptable, and the lack of response to our concerns has been very disappointing.<br><br>Based on our experience, I would not recommend Frank Innes Bingham to anyone looking for a property to rent. If you are considering renting through them, I would strongly suggest making sure everything is confirmed in writing before moving in and checking that essential services and facilities are actually available.<br><br>This has been an awful experience from beginning to end, and I sincerely hope other tenants do not have to go through what we have experienced.- 18th Jul 2026 (8 weeks ago)Eve Walter assisted us with the letting of our property. We placed our property with Eve on the Tuesday and by the Saturday (5 Days) we had had new tenants. We were very happy with the professional and attentive service received from Eve.
