She was always very informative with new properties that she thought might be right for us and every viewing we attended to Katie was always there waiting to greet us and ready to showcase the property to it’s full potential. Once we found are property Katie was amazing in helping us with every step of the way. She made the whole process very easy with constant support and communication between us chancellors head office and our new landlord. We truly appreciate everything Katie done for us and can only describe her as totally amazing and wonderful in her role as a chancellors letting agent . I do hope all your agents across the country are as wonderful as Katie. Thank you very much Katie you’re a star ??

21st Apr 2026 (22 days ago)A very good service from start to conclusion of sale of our property. Guidance was offered from a number of staff members namely Ricky, Barnaby and Sarah. We were kept updated throughout the process with step by step advise both over the phone and by email until the complication of the transaction. Would highly recommend their sale and letting services great staff

9th Mar 2026 (9 weeks ago)Would give 0 stars. Easily the worst letting agents in Reading. They’ll never fix the problems and the basic requirements from you. Whatever you report goes into deaf ears. We’ve been reporting about faulty blinds , leaking bathroom and lots of sharp nails from beneath the carpets for more than 6 months with no one turning up even once. Stay away even if the property looks cool.

I would definitely recommend her services!!- 4th May 2026 (9 days ago)Such a shame I'm having to leave a negative comment, chancellors used to be so good. However, we have contacted them about 4 different houses in the past 5 months and we've heard NOTHING back. I've been ringing every day the past 2 weeks about a house to rent and we can't get through, I've emailed 4 times, Facebooked them.. what more can we do? We need to move and have needed too for 5 months now and we're going to be homeless. You would think chancellors would help but they don't!

Downers certainly are high achievers in this area of expertise, Fraser, the office manager is exceptional and I honestly don’t think we’d have completed the sale without him. That’s not a discredit to the rest of the team who were also professional & helpful, exactly what you need. We just can’t thank Fraser enough, we would highly recommend them ??

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Lucinda has been fantastic in managing the property—she’s always quick to respond, helpful with any queries or repairs, and makes everything feel straightforward and well taken care of. Rosemary was also brilliant when we first rented the flat. She made the whole process smooth and efficient, and everything was sorted much quicker than we expected, which really helped take the stress out of moving. Overall, a professional and reliable team that we’ve felt comfortable with throughout—thank you both!

11th May 2026 (2 days ago)Speaking as executor for the estate of my late cousin, Frank Schippers have been outstanding in not only in getting a far beter price that some other agents had advised but in managing the whole process so well. Given that both myself and my co-executor live more than a hundred miles away that has been a great help. They setup a WhatsApp Group through which they have kept us in the loop at all stages. Much appreciated.

What he achieved was beyond what was expected, and he made the whole process a lot easier than it might otherwise have been. A star all round.
7th May 2026 (6 days ago)I would definitely recommend Coopers — here’s our story. Coopers were originally one of the agents we considered when selling our property, but in the end we chose one of their competitors. At the time, our perception was that while David was very charming and persuasive, was he being overly confident...? Unfortunately, things did not go to plan with the our original agent. After 10 months, our property still remained unsold. During that time, David kept in touch with us consistently and, candidly, we had more regular contact from him checking on our progress than we did from the agent we had actually appointed. After 10 months, we decided to switch to Coopers — and just 11 days later, David delivered on his promises with a buyer secured at the asking price. With David and his team helping facilitate the resolution of the final outstanding queries, this week we successfully completed. A huge thank you to David and the entire Coopers team for their diligence, support, professionalism, and effectiveness throughout the process.
