They are respectful of your space - no surprise visits and they always ask for your confirmation. I really like that they manage properties locally so their office is super close to the properties. They are very responsive with the emails, repair requests, questions - anything you need. We got the deposits back really quickly as well. Thank you Will very much for taking care of us!

21st May 2026 (30 days ago)I am really surprised by this rate. This agency provides the worst service. Actually, it doesn’t provide anything, it just takes money from tenants. The houses are full of rodents, and pest control never visits despite all the complaints from tenants. The internet is not working properly, which prevents people from working from home. The food bin has been full for more than two months, and no one has taken it away. Where else should tenants complain to ensure basic safety standards are met? If nothing is fixed, I will upload photos so other people can see the conditions.

18th Apr 2024 (2 years ago)I didn't have a perfect experience with Franklyn James in terms if number of viewings although they were quick to advertise the property and the listing was strong. The market was incredibly slow too so it's hard to say if any other agent would have performed better.

The whole process was conducted super efficiently with Saul Kara and Alexis Bennett with the utmost professionalism, great communication and timely updates throughout the process. 10th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)rented a property through Blackstone Residentials from 17/03/2024 to 01/02/2026, and it was one of the worst renting experiences I’ve had. From the beginning of the tenancy until the day we moved out, several major issues in the property were never properly resolved. One sink never worked correctly, one shower had ongoing problems, and the washing machine was faulty for months. Even after repeatedly reporting these issues, repairs were either delayed for an unreasonable amount of time or never properly fixed at all. The washing machine replacement alone took around 3–4 months, and the replacement provided was a refurbished machine with very limited functionality. What was most frustrating was the attitude from the agency whenever we raised complaints. Instead of taking responsibility and managing the property professionally, they constantly blamed the landlord by saying things like “our owner is not good” or “she doesn’t listen, we can’t help.” As tenants, that should not be our problem. We were paying rent expecting a properly maintained property, not excuses for nearly two years. Every time we contacted them about maintenance issues, it felt like they were doing us a favour instead of fulfilling basic responsibilities. Many of the complaints we raised at the start of the tenancy were still unresolved by the end. The situation became even worse after moving out when they attempted to claim nearly 90% of our deposit — including deductions related to issues we had already been reporting to them for around 1.5 years. Thankfully, the deposit was protected through DPS, and because we had evidence, emails, and documentation, we were able to dispute the claims and recover most of our money back. My advice to anyone considering renting through this agency, especially students: document absolutely everything. Take photos and videos before moving in, keep all emails, and never rely only on verbal promises. Without evidence, it would have been very easy for us to lose a large amount of money unfairly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency.
28th Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)I’ve had a nightmare experience with john co since the very beginning. First, they were incredibly inefficient with the move-in process, delaying my tenancy start date by three weeks and leaving the property vacant for that entire time. What makes this even more ridiculous is that they failed to carry out mandatory safety inspections (EICR, Gas Safety, EPC) during those three weeks of vacancy. Instead, they have contacted me three times in just my first three weeks of living here, demanding access for various contractors. It feels as though they are using me as an unpaid property manager to coordinate their overdue maintenance. If you value your time, privacy, and mental peace, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Their management is a complete mess.
9th Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)Although my early encounters with City Move Estate and their staff were polite and pleasant, they ended up evicting me from my apartment without issuing the appropriate documents at the beginning of my tenancy. In addition, the hot showers in my apartment were unreliable for over a year despite multiple requests to get them fixed- when, after more than a year had passed, the shower was finally fixed up, the eviction notice came soon after. After the improper eviction they then charged me an extortionate cleaning fee. Would not recommend.

14th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)DO NOT trust this company if you are a renter. We moved into a flat with the stated intention of living there longterm, and as soon as we moved in, there were serious and major safety issues (exploding plug sockets, broken appliances, dangerous floor-level windows that opened to a sheer fall). Despite our intention to stay longterm, the landlord clearly had no intention of actually doing his job. He was slow and unresponsive on high-priority repairs, and the HSC staff were little help. He put the house on sale within a few months of living there, then issued a no-fault eviction notice, which rendered most of our time in the flat into a de facto show home. Aside from the general rudeness and incompetence of the staff, it is crystal clear to me that — if you are a renter — Hurford Salvi Carr have no interest in you, other than to siphon as much money out of you as possible. Avoid at all costs.- 18th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Johns&Co at London City Island. From our very first conversation, we made it explicitly clear that parking was a requirement for us. We were initially shown a property with parking, shown the parking area itself, and then shown another property which we were told also included parking. Based on those representations, we proceeded and had our offer accepted. Only later did we discover — via a WhatsApp message from the agent Katie — that the property did not in fact include parking and that we would need to rent a space separately. This was clearly material information and something we had specifically stated was essential to our purchase decision. We would never have proceeded had the correct information been provided from the outset. What made the situation worse was the handling afterwards. We were initially told compensation would be offered, but after querying the amount, the local manager Elliot called to say we would receive nothing because the issue had been discovered “early in the process” and he did not believe anyone had done anything wrong. The overall attitude felt dismissive and lacking in accountability. We were left having wasted significant time and effort progressing a purchase based on inaccurate information, and ultimately had no choice but to withdraw. Buyers should be very careful to independently verify all “confirmed” information provided during the sales process.

5th Jul 2022 (3 years ago)I vacated my property what is now 6 months, I continue to be ignored and left without my deposit. The behaviour is criminal and I would like to warn others before making the same mistake I did in dealing with this company.
