I just wanted to say what a good experience we had with Kristina. She was incredibly patience, and took my husband and I around to look at so many different properties. She was really understanding of our (rather ridiculous) criteria, and did everything she could to help us find the home of our dreams. I would give her 6 stars if I could, she is a gem.
I rented with foxtons in Islington last year. On top of the constant harrasment in regards to them giving keys out to builders and people entering our flat the flat was also deemed as unsafe by Islington council once I got them involved and they insoe ted the flat. The flat had no smoke alarm at all incase of a fire, no heating system at all just 2 plug in heaters, no proper ventilation, no safe doors but most Importantly was deemed unsafe by the council because it was extremely unsafe in its layout. We spent 10 months trying to sort everything out and ended up.with half of our rent back.
Foxtons also use contracts that favour there clients (landlords) which is unfair and illigal.
I strongly advise not using them if renting a property, if you do use them then download a list of things you need to check in the new house/flat and insist it's all done before moving in, also make sure a break clause is written into the agreement.
As a landlord I am more than happy to recommend Chestertons as a letting agent. I have been working with Claire Oki and communication was always prompt and professional and I felt informed and updated throughout the process of securing a tenant.
Having lived in London since relocating from the States over 12 years ago, I have dealt with a number of real estate brokers. None have been so woefully bad as Chestertons in London W2 – the "service" I received is so totally awful it cannot be called a service.
An agreement was signed by both parties on a prospective sale agreeing to commission of 1.25%. The property was sold and Chestertons sent an invoice charging commission at 1.5%. When I refused to pay the difference, the South African real estate agent Dylan James turned up at my house and literally tried to kick my front door in. My daughter (aged 15) was inside and terrified. Mr James proceed to loiter at my front door for the best part of an hour - smoking cigarettes, shouting and threatening violence. Upon eventually returning to his office he called my wife on her cellphone and threatened to employ heavy-handed debt collectors if I didn't cough up. I refused to pay a penny more than the rate agreed. Mr James eventually and ungracefully accepted. This firm is arrogant, dishonest, and inefficient.
To deal with Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward Islington Estate Agents was a pleasure from start to finish. Andre provided us with an excellent customer service and Carla made sure this process was fast and efficient. An bonus was the fact the flat was spotless. Thanks again guys
The agent didn’t turn up to show us the flat or bothered calling to cancel. Unprofessional to say the least. Maybe they provide a better service to sellers but for prospect tenants this is the kind of service I got
I had a great experience with Complete. Joana my property manager was very responsive to queries with the flat and she works swiftly to solved them.
The team is professional and friendly and they helped me throughout the process and entire application process was online and easy to use, overall past 2 years I am very satisfied.
The worst experience in my life with any agency or any institution.
Many problems before I moved in. Problem from my side always was the most important and one thing which they repeated was that I will loose flat if i do not something...When I was needed them to do something quickly... no, never.
However we finally moved in. Thank for that. But it's almost two weeks after and none of any issued was fixed this time. Main door are opened by fob key. It's HORRIBLE for two people to live with one key!!! still nothing. I have to deal with this alone. There is main procedure for fob for this building which they dont know... I don't have a water in the shower from two weeks. Nothing happened!!!! I beggin them that water is important and the fob...nothing. Since I moved in they dont care. They really dont care about tenant.
I was thinking that agency will be secure and safe solution. That I could trust them more that private person. Now I have completely different opinion.
Fantastic and efficient service. Andrew was friendly, professional and helpful throughout the entire process. He really went out of his way for us and we are delighted with our new tenancy. Highly recommend using their services.

A new office location for Dexters who had taken over my previous letting agency. I dealt mainly with Alex for finding a new tenant. The service was smooth, I was kept informed about viewings and they found a good tenant in the required time. The company, in particular Colin Neale, also helped with, and he was very pro-active in handling, a non paying tenant, which was resolved satisfactory due to his persistence.
