23rd Jan 2026 (14 weeks ago)I agreed a purchase on 5 Whitburn Avenue which was marketed and confirmed in the memorandum of sale as freehold. After instructing solicitors and incurring costs and a level 2 survey, it later emerged during conveyancing that the property was subject to a short lease of around 12 years, fundamentally affecting value and mortgageability. I withdrew immediately once this came to light. Despite requesting written confirmation that the sale was no longer proceeding, my emails were not responded to. This experience caused unnecessary stress and wasted legal costs. Buyers should independently verify tenure before proceeding.

11th Aug 2025 (8 mo. ago)I HAD ONE VIEWER ,THEY GAVE ME A TIME WHEN THE VIEWING WAS GOING TO TAKE PLACE WHICH WAS 2.15 ON A SATURDAY ME AND MY WIFE WENT TO A GARDEN CENTRE , WELL AT 3PM I PHONED WEBBS TO SEE IF THE VIEWING HAD FINISHED ,I WAS THEN TOLD OH NO WE DONT SHOW THESE PEOPLE AROUND UNTIL 3.30 PM I SAID I HAVE VOICEMAIL MESSAGE ON MY MOBILE THAT THE VIEWING WAS AT 2.15 ,I SAID WELL CAN YOU PHONE ME WHEN THE VIEWING AS FINISHED THEY SAID THEY WOULD.......WELL THEY DIDNT. THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY WEBBS PHONED, BUT WE WERE OUT THEY LEFT A MESSAGE FOR ME TO PHONE BACK, I DID BUT THE ASSISTANT WAS ON THE PHONE, I WAS TOLD SHE WOULD PHONE ME BACK, WELL SHE NEVER DID , WHEN I TERMINATED THE CONTRACT ,I AT TO GO TO THEIR CANNOCK OFFICE TO GET MY KEYS... ON THEIR BROCHURE TO ME WHEN I FIRST WENT WITH WEBBS ITS IN BOLD LETTERS NO SALE NO FEE , BUT THEY CHARGED ME £60I WENT WITH WEBBS ON THE 28th FEBRUARY2025 FINISHED WITH THEM END OF JUNE

8th May 2024 (1 year ago)Agent turned up one and a half hours late for property inspection, no phone call to inform me. When I called their office a women said she has asked the women coming to visit to call me but she didn't bother. When I challenged her she said she had not been asked to call me to say she was going to be late only when she has finished her inspection (who's telling the truth) RED FLAG. She also whined on about being in a meeting and that she had only been working there for a week or so NOT MY PROBLEM not interested in time wasters. I needed to contact my landlord to inform him of the poor service he is paying for and in then contacted PP. A long story short when the evidence was put to Simon Bacon the manager he had no choice but to apologise to my landlord but no apology to me for wasting my time. Always going to apologise to the landlord because he's paying him. VERY POOR appears there is no proper in house or external communication. Glad I'm only going to here for a short period of time.

2nd Jul 2025 (10 mo. ago)Absolutely the worse agents ive ever dealt with, no communication, no answers in 6 months not 1 job was rectified on the property, was told by Craig we were a priority yet still nothing was done. House was dirty gardens overgrown. Lorraine avoids any question given to her or avoids your calls. I would advise anyone to avoid this shambles of an estate agents if you the type of person who likes communication and results not empty promises. Also charged us for tidying the gardens on us leaving even though they were worse when we moved in and told to leave it as we found it. 6 months of stress caused. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Communication was excellent, and they kept me informed every step of the way. They made what can be a stressful experience feel smooth and straightforward. Highly recommend their services to anyone looking to buy, sell, or rent a property!

26th Feb 2026 (10 weeks ago)I’m desperately looking for a home to relocate back to the West Midlands after experiencing DA. I had an appointment this week to view a property, but I was disappointed with the service I received. Firstly the letting agent turned up late, and I had to call the office to see where she was. The office called her to find out, and she clearly wasn’t happy about this as she brought it up with me and my brother who was accompanying me. She was also dressed like she had just rolled out of bed, and offered us no information about the property…she remained quiet the whole time. The property I viewed had no heating source in the one bedroom, (which is illegal) and so they are happy to let out a property on behalf of a Landlord of whom is clearly breaking the law. When I pointed this out, she said “you can just put a heater in there.” No, no I can’t…the landlords job is to provide a source of heating, not mine When I asked her more information and mentioned I had a cat, she wasn’t sure what to say…despite me having an email trace of speaking to the office about this. She just did not seem interested in getting a tenant for the property. I will of course be reporting the fact that this property is being let without a heating source in the bedroom. Only thing I can say positively about this letting agent, is they do call and let you know that you haven’t been successful, which is more than most!

1st Mar 2024 (2 years ago)Just finished our tenancy agreement after 2 years 3 months. The whole Preferential team have been fantastic but specially Emma K since I dealt with her from day one till the end of the tenancy, she is brilliant. to be fair they always fixed any fault in the property pretty quickly so thanks to Victoria for this. I did not deal much with the director Simon but he did some adjustments to my contract to be able to give the month notice from the day I exchanged contracts of the property I purchased so thanks for this. From our side we have kept the property always clean and taken care of it as if it was ours. I recommend Preferential.
