As first-time buyers, the whole mortgage process felt quite overwhelming, especially after having a disappointing experience with another mortgage advisor. From the moment we started working with Tom, everything changed.<br><br>He was professional, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure we understood every step of the process. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and he was always on hand to answer our questions and put our minds at ease.<br><br>We'd also like to give a special thank you to Emily, who was acting on behalf of the sellers. She was brilliant throughout the process, keeping us updated, helping to keep everything moving, and always being friendly and approachable. The team has been absolutely exceptional and have supported me through some very difficult times with genuine kindness, patience, and care. Over the years, their service has been consistently outstanding, and they have always gone above and beyond to help in any way they can. They are friendly, professional, and incredibly reliable, and I have always felt completely looked after. 1st Jun 2026 (8 weeks ago)We had planned to stay at one of their properties however it was trashed when we arrived, had drugs on the side and have had 0 help from the company. Ignoring messages and no reply since. When we initially got there the fob to access the building wasn't in the lockbox and no one replied to our calls our messages. Terrible experience and somehow even worse customer service.
14th Jul 2026 (15 days ago)I recently sold my parents property with Horton & Senate and I cannot leave anything less than a 5 star review - there really should be more stars for these guys! From the very beginning dealing with Justyn and later Jennifer, the team have been fantastic with dealing with the various issued I faced with the sale. They guided and advised me, listened to me when things got tough and helped me through the various meltdowns I had.<br>Thankfully, after what seemed like a very long time, the house finally sold, a very bittersweet day but also one filled with much relief.<br>I honestly cannot recommend Horton & Senate enough if you are looking to sell, or indeed buy a house!<br>A MASSIVE thank you!

17th Jul 2026 (12 days ago)We viewed a property with Rachel and she was lovely. Her service at the viewing was fantastic.<br><br>However, my experience with Felicity was not so positive. I called following the viewing to be told the house had received an offer at the viewing. Yep, that’s cool, it happens and the nature of the beast. I asked to receive a call back and never received a call back, despite being in the market. The following week the house had come online on Rightmove. I called and spoke to felicity again… she explained the house had gone on to “show as sold on RM”, again, that’s cool, it happens. However, my bugbear was that she couldn’t wait to get me off the phone. Whilst trying to talk, I was in receipt of; “ok thank you, Goodbye”, as sales tactic to shut down a call. She told me the house went for “quite over the asking price”. I joked in asking “what for” (knowing she couldn’t tell me the number), however, her response was just to push me off the phone. I work in sales and understand the when someone’s trying to get you off the phone. I called at 4pm today (Friday 17th), so maybe you don’t want to deal with me on a Friday evening. However, having worked in sales for 16 years, I may not be worth money to you right now, however, I could be worth money to you tomorrow. Networking and customer care is key. Trying to force someone off the phone is poor form. Despite being a potential buyer at some stage, there was no customer aftercare, no asking what else I’d like. Zero, nothing. I’ve spoken to numerous agents and all of them have asked what I’m looking for, or tried to discuss another property with me. Felicity couldn’t care. She may have had a bad day at the office, but that’s no excuse.<br><br>From my experience with Rachel, I’d buy from Rachel, she was great. However, my experience with Felicity, I’d not buy from Felicity, her customer service was abysmal, it felt like she was not interested at all, maybe because we’re not buying right this second.

From the valuation up to finding a buyer the whole team were professional, informative and very friendly. Within a week they managed to arrange few viewings and including one potential buyer. Communication was excellent, particularly in relation to viewings, with contact made by phone to arrange a viewing and feedback provided promptly afterwards. Throughout the whole process Chris was on hand to offer honest and helpful advice and always willing to respond to queries. As Ellis Brooke are a relatively small team you benefit from a more tailored and personable approach than larger firms might provide.
