We're first time sellers, so we were grateful for their extra guidance especially during a turbulent housing market. After a slow-ish start (mainly due to factors outside of our control), HF secured us a final offer we were really happy with. For various reasons we've decided not to sell yet, but look forward to working with them again next spring.

Their approach is subtle rather than pushy! And the recent sale bagged us a better price (even with a reduction) than other agents even valued the house at. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Kept in the loop with viewings and outcomes. Very useful feedback from potential buyers. Found the Street.co.uk app good. Would definitely use McFarlane Sales & Lettings again. Tim Stanley was excellent.
14th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Whatever the issue you face they don't respond. It was very bad experience. When we ask anything, they say it is managed by landlord and he will come and sort. I don't know why they are taking rent if they don't solve customer issues.
12th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)We had an awful experience renting our house for 10 years with Strakers when we lived abroad. Our home turned from a beautiful place with a “wow factor” into a filthy mess with tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage under Strakers watch. After 5 years they replaced a competent manager with someone with zero experience and no common sense who told us that the place was in very good condition. We returned to find a huge mess. The Strakers agent is completely incompetent. Avoid Strakers if you wish to rent your home!

2nd Jun 2026 (18 days ago)We put our house on market with A&H Westbury in October 2025 and we were not aware of the turmoil in our chain until late in April 2026 reflecting a disgraceful lack of communication; the chain collapsed and we were left bereft; it is apparent that management within the Branch was changed some 6 weeks ago because communication suddenly greatly improved, advice on re marketing was excellent and we now have a new buyer and full confidence in the team headed by Isaac S. Now we can relax !!
12th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)Our house sold within a couple of days once the listing with Lock & Key went live. Nigel’s excellent marketing using 1st class photos, video tour and narrative couldn’t have been better. Cannot recommend highly enough.

8th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)All the above 'excellents' look ridiculous I know, but they accurately and honestly reflect the service that I have received from Richard James which has been nothing short of astonishing. From the very initial photographs for the advertisement to keeping me informed of viewings and confirming the results of viewings, they could not have been more attentive and considerate. In particular I must name and thank Mr James Sargeant of their Wroughton office for his dogged and persistent qualities. I live in Devon and was afraid that I might not be kept quite so well informed as a result, but I need not have worried. I continue to be delighted with Richard James performance and would urge anyone selling a property to ring them up tomorrow - or even this afternoon!
18th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)I was a tenant in Salisbury from 2019 to 2026. The staff at the Salisbury branch are very friendly and take the time to listen to your concerns. Whenever I had something that needed fixing they would have it organized in short order. I have since purchased the property that I was renting with Goadsby acting on behalf of the seller but at the same time went the extra mile to help me to sort my side of things out. I can confirm that they were easy to deal with and I always felt like they were in my corner which made a big difference. Scott. Salisbury.
8th Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)Very good sales work and handling of viewings. Once we had a buyer the progressor was giving us updates better than our solicitor but did go quiet as some points. Overall I would certainly recommend Richard James.

Charlottes communication, skill, patience, generosity, efficiency, attention to detail and advice have been flawless throughout our sale! I cannot thank her enough for all that she has done. Nothing is too much trouble for Charlotte, She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in real estate worldwide and it shows! I felt In extremely capable hands throughout this process. It has been a joy to be selling with somebody who truly loves their job and dedicates themselves so strongly to their clients. Thank you, Charlotte!

Not only did we have no prior experience of renting, but we were currently living 100 miles away, which presented considerable logistical problems. Sue and Toni at Belvoir, Devizes were not only very knowledgeable, but also extremely kind and helpful. They guided us through the process and with their assistance we were able to secure a suitable property only two weeks after first contacting them. We are very grateful for their support.

Both Ben and Stewart kept me up to date with viewings and feedback and then communicated throughout the sale of the property. Very friendly and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend them.
