I was extremely fortunate to have Kate Hand ( Connells in Horsham) as the letting agent. Just excellent from start to finish and I’m still receiving emails checking that everything is going well.
I was going through a very challenging time , but Kate was very patient and provided advice and support at every stage. This is my first renting experience and I feel extremely lucky that I was guided through this by Kate. Exceptionally positive experience.

We bought our property through Connells. Oliver was excellent throughout the process. He was helpful, knowledgeable and professional. When it looked like the chain was going to break down he helped us through it. His sense of humour was a great help. Thank you Oliver for your patience.

As first time buyers the whole process can be quite daunting! We had first contact with Grace at Connells who helped guide us and she has been brilliant! As our sales negotiator, she has been very attentive, she provided supportive, speedy communication and has been so welcoming. Thank you for all your help!

Very disappointing experience with the lettings department.
My tenancy deposit of £750 was due to be returned on 16 September 2026.

My landlord has confirmed to me that they authorised the release of the deposit several weeks ago, yet the money has still not been returned.

I contacted the Torquay branch on 16 September and was told I would receive a call or email, but neither happened. I contacted them again later that day and left a voicemail.

I then submitted a formal complaint in writing.

The following morning I escalated the matter to Connells' central lettings contacts, only to subsequently be told that the complaint apparently hadn't even been logged.

I appreciate that formal complaints can take time to investigate.

My concern is that I can't currently get a clear answer as to where my deposit is, why it hasn't been returned when the landlord says release was authorised weeks ago, or who is actually dealing with the matter.

I'm simply looking for the £750 deposit to be returned and a clear explanation of what has happened.

I will happily update this review if Connells resolves the matter satisfactorily.

Excellent service, they took us to view all the properties we were interested in and were very helpful as we are from Sussex and did not know the area.
They answered all our queries and were interested in our requrements; the other agents we contacted were not willing to take us out to view which was disappointing.
Many thanks to Jamie and his team.
