7th Jun 2023 (1 year ago)Amazing service from Warners - all staff were attentive and supportive from the beginning. Even with a sale fall through and having to go back on the market, they helped ease the upset of what was a really upsetting time, found me a new buyer and completed 6 weeks later. Cannot fault their service, Caitlin Meaney was my negotiator and made me feel like nothing was too much trouble and gave fantastic advice / came across very knowledgeable on the market for the area and time I was selling. Would 100% recommend Warners, and have already done so to a few also looking to sell. I met with around 4 estate agencies total and Warners were the clear choice from the start. Thanks so much for all your help! We now have sold our flat and purchased our forever family home and couldn’t have done it without your help.

As first-time buyers, we were quite anxious about the process, but it turned out to be remarkably smooth and stress-free which is down to Ralph Sayer. Our offer was submitted and accepted within just two hours, and we moved into our new home within six weeks without any issues. We had countless questions as first-time buyers, but every one of them was answered promptly and thoroughly. 12th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)Murray & Currie are atrocious - we had rented with them for 4 years, having lived in two flats. In both, they had ignored us when we made them aware of plumbing issues (at one point disregarding months of constant follow-ups), which culminated in damage to our downstairs neighbours flats. Once again, in both instances, the neighbours had to contact our landlord themselves as the letting agents could not be bothered to do their job. Altogether, the caused thousands of pounds worth of damages and stress for everyone involved, including both us as the tenants and the landlords. This is the tip of the iceberg - I had paid rent in advance of my own volition at one flat, and they illegally kept it for months after I asked for it back (as I was moving). They also tried to charge us the full cost of a professional clean at move-out, despite the fact that we had paid for a professional cleaning using their own cleaning company upon the end of the tenancy. Honestly, there are no words. Truly I have never seen this level of incompetence. One flat managed by Murray and Currie and the entire neighbourhood ends up with a multi-year-long headache. You'd have better luck getting your property managed by a chimp.

22nd Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)I was introduced to McDougall McQueen through Sylvia from 'Selling with Sylvia' who dealt with the initial sale. Sylvia dealt with the process from the start through to sale when it was passed on to McDougall McQueen to deal with the legal side. Sylvia was excellent, explained the process, answered all my questions really quickly and was always available. The legal side of the sale was dealt with Susan Oates from McDougal McQueen. Susan was very efficient, answered all my questions quickly, was very approachable and got things done. I have no hesitation in recommending Sylvia and McDougall McQueen.
3rd Nov 2023 (8 mo. ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

Very reasonable prices too and great transparency about fees, timing expectations etc. Would strongly recommend.

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
