12th May 2024 (19 weeks ago)Murray & Currie are atrocious - we had rented with them for 4 years, having lived in two flats. In both, they had ignored us when we made them aware of plumbing issues (at one point disregarding months of constant follow-ups), which culminated in damage to our downstairs neighbours flats. Once again, in both instances, the neighbours had to contact our landlord themselves as the letting agents could not be bothered to do their job. Altogether, the caused thousands of pounds worth of damages and stress for everyone involved, including both us as the tenants and the landlords. This is the tip of the iceberg - I had paid rent in advance of my own volition at one flat, and they illegally kept it for months after I asked for it back (as I was moving). They also tried to charge us the full cost of a professional clean at move-out, despite the fact that we had paid for a professional cleaning using their own cleaning company upon the end of the tenancy. Honestly, there are no words. Truly I have never seen this level of incompetence. One flat managed by Murray and Currie and the entire neighbourhood ends up with a multi-year-long headache. You'd have better luck getting your property managed by a chimp.

I couldn’t believe how kind they were, printing everything out for free, and being generous with their time and giving me a backroom and helped me sign. Thank you Holly. Above and beyond, and kind to a stranger and didn’t charge me a thing. Thank you very much.

Reassuring and positive. Information given is clear, instructive and they have answered any questions that arose. Highly recommend and very grateful to all the staff along the way.
3rd Nov 2023 (10 mo. ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

23rd Aug 2024 (28 days ago)I used Belvoir to rent my property out for five months whilst I went travelling and I was so impressed and happy with every single staff member I came into contact with, special thanks to Sophie and Katy for finding tenants even though it was a short let and the amazing communication I experienced throughout and the support given by Katy when the tenants proved to be challenging at times was very much appreciated, thank you Katy for your professionalism, your patience, your unwavering support and your excellent communication skills, If I rent my flat out again I want you to look after it for me, I trust you 100%!

Could not recommend Truscott Property highly enough. We really felt that they genuinely cared about making the process as smooth and stress free as possible and about getting us the best outcome, which they did. We sold our home quickly and nothing was too much trouble for the team. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Sophie was friendly but professional. I felt that every step of my journey to selling my property, Sophie treated me, as if I was the only client at Belvoir. She knew my situation and property, I never had to remind her, she just remembered. A very personable estate agent.

22nd Aug 2024 (29 days ago)I used Watermans to buy a property, they came recommended to me by my mortgage advisor. I dealt with Sophie, who was extremely helpful throughout the process, answering all my queries, which probably were a little silly at time as I was a first time buyer and had little knowledge on the process, and kept me up to date with any developments. Highly recommend for conveyancing, thanks to Sophie this process was a lot less stressful than I think it would've been otherwise
23rd Aug 2024 (28 days ago)Our journey with Avenue Road began back in 2023 with a competitive valuation from Jennifer. We went to market and had a number of viewings lined up, all expertly handled by Jennifer who was in constant contact and proactively gave us feedback from viewers. Within 6 weeks we had a VERY reasonable offer on the table and were excited to move. When an unexpected turn of events meant we had to withdraw from the sale whilst we were abroad, Jennifer handled everything for us. One phone call and all parties were informed and our listing mothballed until such a time as we were ready to go back to market. Truly, I have no words to describe how easy she made this really difficult time for us. When we were ready to return to market some 6 months later, Jennifer had everything ready to go and in 24 hours we had a weekend of viewings booked in. In a matter of days we were under offer again. From the offer acceptance right the way through to completion, Jennifer was there for us and provided a truly seamless service liaising with lawyers on both sides of the sale and assisting us with the handover of keys on completion day when we were unable to be there ourselves. Be in no doubt, if you instruct Avenue Road you will be working with the best in the business! Their market knowledge and communication are second to none.

5th Jul 2024 (11 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!

The move out process was a bit frustrating; however, the team took the time to phone me personally to listen to my feedback. It speaks volumes of their customer service.
