9th Jun 2025 (29 days ago)The worst letting experience ever - give 21 Bristol Road ip33 a wide berth. The landlady doesn’t respond, pays monthly fees to have the property managed but then wants to send her own contractors. She tells us Countrywide are lying to us. We don’t know who to believe. The relationship between letting managment and landlord is beyond ridiculous and unacceptable. We want out of the contract as the experience has been very upsetting. Everytime we complain or try to put the pressure on to get a something fixed we are told they will call the police as we are harassing them. We have been left without hot water and heating without appropriate replacements for long periods of time during freezing temperatures. Our dishwasher hasn’t worked for the whole duration of the tenancy. The fridge was also mouldy and replaced with a tiny fridge unsuitable for a family of 4. We are being treated completely out of line with what is expected of a landlord and letting company. She even signed for and stole an my urgent medication delivery (which was accidently sent to wrong address by GP)when we moved out and refused to return it. Be warned Abbots represent unethical landlords. Expect great service before you sign up but then they don’t want to know once they have your money. AND MAKE SURE YOU HAND BACK EVERY SINGLE KEY OR THEY WILL ILLEGALLY CHARGE YOU RENT ARREARS BY THE DAY as there is no professional check out procedure. They know every trick on the book. It is totally laughable that they have even replied to this review pretending they will help resolve our issues. We paid a £2600 deposit left the property in better condition than we found it, we treated it like our home and yet we are only being refunded £700 of it. The rest is going to have to be disputed. Absolutely exhausting - every step after we signed the contract of this rental has been miserable.

The whole process was efficient pragmatic and personal. Any queries were dealt with immediately and the property was sold within a week of going on the market.. Matthew kept me up to date with vicissitudes of the chain and was always working to ensure a smooth completion . Well worth the money . Thoroughly recommend

As we know moving house is extremely stressful, so bychoice, and Amilie made me feel at ease and comfortable with everything. Lovely people.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

28th Apr 2025 (10 weeks ago)Jade and Tom Mansbridge took the keys to our property for sale and rental property almost 4 months ago. We terminated the contract as we weren’t getting any response through them. It has been more than 3 months and despite several follow ups over email, text and unanswered calls they have still not returned the keys to us. I have email screenshots and text screenshots to share to prove how horrible their service is. I will never recommend Jackson & Co to anyone after this horrible service. See the screenshot of email I sent in Jan and then again in March.
10th May 2025 (8 weeks ago)I have been looking for a property to purchase for over 6 months and this is the only estate agency I have ever left a review for. They are very disorganised and don’t appear to communicate with each other. I phoned on 6th May to view a house today (10th May). They decided to phone me 1 hour before to ask questions about affordability and that the vendor may not allow us to view the property. What were you guys doing for 4 days??? People have got lives and things to do on the weekend and you have the audacity to phone 1 hour before a viewing to let me know I might not be allowed to view the house. Completely unacceptable. When I realised what a joke of an agency this was and that the vendor was going to be nothing but trouble, I cancelled the viewing. I wouldn’t recommend this agency.

They were very patient with me as a first time seller - 'no such thing as a stupid question'. I had a strong sense that they had my interests at heart, and they gave fair, balanced advice.

20th Jun 2025 (18 days ago)This has been our first experience of dealing with Leaders. We arranged a viewing, which was very quick and easy to do. We were met with a big smile and happy face by Darja Scerbinina at the property on arrival. Darja was very cheery, helpful and knowledgeable. She didn't rush us and let us take our time viewing the property. After the viewing, she was very helpful in negotiating a deal, answering all calls and replying to emails straight away. Further on in the process, Darja has assisted us in obtaining updates from solicitors when we were struggling for answers, which was very much appreciated. Thanks for all your help Darja, you're a star! Karen & Jon Powell
