I cannot recommend Leah and her team from Connells for lettings enough. Accommodating, professional and truly a case of service with a smile. Leah was from the very start of our property search up to the signing of contracts was a real delight to deal with and always responsive, transparent and assistive as well as very knowledgeable. During the early stages of our property search I engaged and dealt with many local estate agents and none of them compared or even came close to Leah at Connells for her professionalism and approach.... I would not give Connell any stars if I had a choice, they we one of the worst agents I have letted from. They try to portray themselves as a good estate agent however they are poorly run and do not know how to communicate correctly. They advised us we can leave the tenancy early however the day we moved out they stated the landlord never have then authorization to do so. We have been left paying 2 sets of rent. We have now finally completed the tenancy and are still waiting for our deposit of over £1000. They are extortionate fees to move in the most expensive I have ever come across! I never get a full response they will try and bush off what I am complaining about. Once when I said I have been speaking with a solicitor about the on going issue, we had it in writing the landlord said we could leave early, Tracey Dumont stated "I understand you have been speaking with your friends". They are condescending and think they are a lot higher than other when really they are estate agents. The Landlord is also a sham! DO NOT GO THROUGH CONNELLS!... Read more

DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT. Absolutely the worst Estate Agent. 'Damien was useless as the Lettings Manager. He ignores all correspondence and is NOT willing to help with any issues. Does not even deserve one star. Considering you pay over £2000 in charges to move into the property you end up doing the most of the work yourself!!!!... Read more

Hizzy Ltd - Ipswich

I bought a property marketed by Hizzy. Their online particulars showed high quality images, video and descriptions. Friendly and helpful, good balance of remaining in contact without pressuring from the offset. Once an offer was made there was constant proactive ‘value add’ navigation throughout making it as painless as these things ever are. I would very happily buy or sell property through them again. Much better than most of the high street names I’ve used before.... Read more

We had our property on the market multi agent, Hizzy came on board second and although the sale didn’t happen through them we were very impressed with their customer service. They were available to contact 7 days a week, always returning telephone calls and emails promptly. Hizzy proved to us that they are a hard working and dedicated estate agent that offer a professional service, they definitely go the extra mile.... Read more

Under no circumstances sell your business with Hilton Smythe. We made the unfortunate decision to sign a six month contract with them back in February this year to sell our shop. A valuer visited us and told us that if we paid so much upfront, they'd be no more fee's to pay and if the shop wasn't sold within six months we could simply pull it off the market or go with someone else. It was originally marketed and valued at £50,000. Initially we had a lot of interest and a sale looked likely. Then lockdown happened three weeks into the shop being advertised and all went quiet until late July, early August. Barely anything from Hilton Smythe. This we had expected due to the circumstances. In the meantime, the shop has been open and trading extremely well. Then come early August, we start being messed around by the agent. Suddenly and without any warning another agent has taken over and is arranging viewings with people who are not properly vetted. We're let down at the last minute by people who don't show up. We then reduce the price of our business in an effort to sell quicker, even then the agents kept calling with offer's well below the new asking price and when we turned them all down, we were made to feel like we're the ones being unreasonable and as though we should just accept any offer. Low and behold, we have decided to take our business off the market. Our contract ran out on August 2nd, therefore we are now out of contract. But... Hilton Smythe have stated that we have to give them six weeks notice for them to take our business off the market and in this time, we must accept viewings else we are liable for a fee of almost £3,000! We only received an actual copy of our contract, the day we gave Hilton Smythe our notice, which was two days ago. Yesterday, emails were flying back and forth between Myself and the agency over yet another no show. Hilton Smythe have become bullies and will stoop to any depths. They're not on the sellers side, the very people paying them and they will send anyone, unvetted, to waste your time on the promise of a sale. No matter how hard you try to get out of it, they will use 'the contract' against you. Do expect a level of stress that will drive you to the brink of a nervous breakdown and if you have a decent business, expect it to be adversely affected by bogus buyers phoning them and then you being forced into showing such people around! I urge anyone thinking of selling a business, go elsewhere. I wish I had seen some of these reviews back in February.... Read more

Keystone IEA - Ipswich

I rented a property from Keystone and moved during lockdown. I was impressed with the way Jonathan handled everything under the current circumstances - social distancing was maintained and he kept me informed by email every step of the way. I came across a couple of small issues on moving in (electrical and plumbing) but these were rectified immediately. I would recommend Keystone for rentals.... Read more

Been waiting over a year for my deposit back on my previous property. Deposit scheme needed proof from these guys and after a year full of calls to them and emails I have received nothing. Finally facing facts that they have STOLEN my money and I won’t be seeing it. EDIT: in response to what has been said below, the owner of keystones turned up at my new property whilst he was on a jog instead of using a email or letter to contact me. All it also took was for him to send ONE email to the DPS and they released the deposit. It took a year of persistent nagging from myself and my family to get you to send one email. Since I left my honest review of a company who took the mick out of someone in a difficult situation; ie, charging over £300 for cutting in a carpet when I had paid for a new underlay and a new carpet, just didn’t have the skills to cut it in and has since been hounding my mother to ask me to remove my review when you should be contacting me direct, not harassing my family. Overall, not professional at all and definitely deserve 1 star. And the reason I was in able to deal with it myself was due to Illness. That is something you were aware of and I find it pretty disgusting that you’ve tried to use that as an excuse for your behaviour. At the end of the day I was the customer and you were the professionals who charged crazy amounts for tiny jobs after I’d left the property and hounded myself and my family for a year after that....
