30th Jan 2024 (13 weeks ago)Had the absolute worst experience with Sutton Kersh - avoid!! I was purchasing my first house through them and it took around 28 weeks to get the keys from when my offer was accepted. I felt like I constantly had to chase them and was never given an update, I feel like I was always having to offer up potential solutions, the manager was always condescending probably because I’m young/a first time buyer. I was consistently told “it’s just a lengthy process” and 26 weeks into the sale the manager told me “there’s nothing anyone in this office can do for you” - even though at this point the seller and their solicitor had made the case a priority as it has been going on for so long. Once I was told to wait till the end of the week for an update, called back and the manager simply said “no, nothing in the inbox” and I had to ask if she was going to do anything about it or if she was just going to sit and wait potentially several more weeks for a response, she wasn’t very willing to help unless pressed and I feel like her attitude and overall level of service were shockingly bad, I couldn’t believe that she was the manager. After the sale, the seller was reimbursing something their solicitor was meant to pay for but mine charged me for, I sent an email about this to ask them to contact the seller and I never heard back, they didn’t care once the sale was through. However, on the other hand, months into the sale my case was handed over to Mary Kate and she was amazing, her personally I would give 5 stars to. I called so many times and sent so many emails and she was always happy to help and seems like she actually did her job in chasing the seller and trying to get the sale through, rather than just sitting back waiting for a response and hoping something would change. She never made me feel like I was being unreasonable by calling for an update and never minimised the situation, in all honestly think she would be a much better manager.
19th Feb 2024 (10 weeks ago)If my experience with them are any indicator of their service then I would steer well clear. After reporting issues with one of their properties over a week ago I'm still waiting to hear back. Not good enough.

Anup & Vinay in particular made the whole process of Letting super straightforward, stress-free and kept me updated every step of the way. Will continue using Oadby Estates and would highly recommend to anyone looking for professional, experienced and trustworthy Estate Agents in Leicester.
2nd Apr 2024 (27 days ago)Sara and her team were brilliant, friendly and helpful right from the valuation. We got our house valued unsure as to if we were staying or moving until we knew the value. We told Sara this and she didn’t mind at all. Once on the market the team could not do enough to help. Offer received and then issues in the chain. Kerry was very patient with us and helped me stay sane. All the issues at the bottom of the chain (out of our hands!), we agreed everything that could go wrong, did ! Our completion date was put back 3 times; every step of the way the team were there to take my call, deal with my tears and give us the reassurance we needed. Nest really did earn their commission on our sale. Thank you seems so insignificant for all their help. I can strongly recommend this company.

5th Apr 2024 (24 days ago)I've brought a few houses over the years - all through another estate agent as their service was great and when I saw a property through Alexanders I was in two minds. However, Laura Pettitt has been by far the best advisor I have ever worked with. She is so prompt with everything, constantly keeping on top of things, precide, communication is amazing, always so happy (genuinely sometimes I just called for an update to get that happiness vibe) and above all her personality. Eve whilst she was on holiday she ensured we were covered with support. She truly is a gem! I've never found viewing, putting an offer in and buying a house so smooth. Laura is a true asset to Alexanders and I really hope she is recognised for her tremendous service.
7th Nov 2023 (25 weeks ago)I'm afraid I had a horrendous experience with this company. I am surprised they are still trading. I put in an offer on a property they were selling. Some time later I asked them to re negotiate with vendor for a lower price as my own buyer had offered me £20,000 below my asking price. Approx 1 week later Browns worker phoned me e to say lower offer had been accepted. I was surprised and asked again for clarification as this was a substantial drop in price. I then asked if vendor had been ok with this as I fully expected at very least to be asked to meet in the middle. The worker then said vendor had not been happy but had agreed! I was a little uncomfortable with response but delighted that I could now afford the move with a bit of wriggle room to meet unforseen expenses. I heard no more from browns either by phone, e mail or letter. The first I knew that I had paid £15,000 more for my property than the figure we had agreed by phone was some weeks later on receipt of completion paperwork the day I moved in! I confronted Browns but their response has been unbelievable. Complete denial of the negotiation phone contacts we had and referring me to memo of sale they said they had sent me. In a later e mail communication I was informed that in fact I had been handed this letter in person at their offices. I knew that was untrue as I never visited their office after the initial visit to confirm my identity when initial offer was made. Unfortunately trading standards don't want to know and referred me back to citizens advice. Citizens advice suggested I take it up with solicitor . Solicitor said they knew nothing about a second reduced offer. I am now putting in an official complaint which has to start by going through - yes you guessed it wm h brown! Wish me ????

19th Nov 2023 (23 weeks ago)Property on the market for over 6 months only 4 viewings felt like they forget about selling our property. They didn't stay in contact with us and there only advice was to drop the asking price, we might have considered a lower price but they needed to generate interest through there marketing. We haven't sold our property yet and are considering our options.

Her communication was faultless throughout and she made mine and my partners journey of buying our first house feel so much smoother and easier. Georgina understood what we were after when originally viewing properties with Spencer’s and sent us listings based off what we mentioned to her… we in fact brought a house she had sent to us rather then ones we were seeing online! Georgina always went above and beyond for us and nothing was ever too much hassle, She is such an asset to Spencer’s and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking to buy!

15th May 2023 (11 mo. ago)Hampsons have been on point from the first moment we met them. They've been honest,upfront, realistic and they've done everything they promised. Communication has been great and whilst there are cheaper out there, I think it's really worth the extra. Could not recommend them enough.
