25th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Appalling. I would not recommend listing a property with Connels in Eastleigh. We listed a three bed property a few months ago and the sales service Connels has provided has been terrible. Viewings are often booked without any communication to see if we can both accommodate (we have previously told Connels that we both WFH and need to move meetings around first) and on several occasions now the agent has either not turned up or very late. Today a client was waiting 20 minutes in the 27 degree heat because the agent apparently went to the wrong house. I can understand this might happen on occasion but this has happened in nearly each viewing on our property. Another gripe is that after a viewing we often have to contact Connels for feedback and too often we are speaking with someone who doesn't know who or what is going on. Avoid for sales.

Moving house is stressful but the team that I dealt with, Charlie, Francis, Max and of course amazing Sam (Sales Manager) have really supported the sale of my house! Cheers guys. I would highly recommend and will use again!

They have made the process so much easier right from the start, even when things haven't been particularly smooth sailing and out of our control.

27th Jun 2024 (30 days ago)Second to none support from both Simon from London road branch and Mandy from Chandlers ford who was our sales progressor. I had chosen a solicitor who you'd have thought didn't own a keyboard and didn't understand the concept of answering a phone... This became extremely frustrating as we couldn't get any updates or any communication at all for that matter and as first time buyers you need to have some level of "hand holding" because everything is new and confusing Luckily Simon and Mandy were on the case and helped push for responses and eventually we managed to lock in a completion date for when we needed it Both Mandy and Simon knew my that communication was not my solicitors forte and therefore called me the moment we exchanged to congratulate us.. Thank you both, you made an otherwise stressful situation much smoother and it is greatly appreciated -Marty

28th Jun 2024 (29 days ago)Just moved out of a property managed by King's, and their service was absolutely terrible. While they didn't individually manage the properties, their customer service and paperwork organisation was poor. During the contract process, they required physical paper copies of proof for things like guarantor info, etc. While this would have been usually fine, they were diabolical at keeping the paperwork in check. For starters, we were asked in the office if we would like to sign up for a Unihomes package as the property was advertised with such. We said yes, and each tenant individually signed unihomes forms for contact information, bank information, etc. After this, they said that it would be sorted from that point on. It was only until we moved into the property that we realised our contract with Unihomes hadn't been fulfilled. We emailed Kings to ask what had happened with it all, and they simply responded that they had no record of it, and we never filled out anything as it was not on our file. That was ridiculous as we absolutely had and would be told it was going to be handled by the office and that we didn't have to sign up independently. We ended up doing it ourselves after we had already arrived under the assumption that the contract had already begun as per the discussion in Kings months prior. Secondly, they constantly lost important paperwork from our family members. As we are students and need guarantors, we each had family members who had to physically mail sensitive paperwork to Kings so it could be approved for our tenancy. My guarantor had to send multiple paper copies of things like P60s, proof of mortgage, etc, only to be told each time they apparently never received it. At one point I had emailed them to confirm that they didn't need anything else from us (fees or paperwork) and they confirmed that we had sent everything necessary and that all of our paperwork was filed and approved. Not even a month after, I had another email from them saying that I had not yet sent my guarantor paperwork. After this, my guarantor mailed the copies for the third time, and it was apparently actually filed away properly this time. There were other occurrences similar to this, but you get the idea. I am not posting this review for any response from Kings or Alike. I just want people to know that they are a pain to work with and will make renting stressful. Especially if you're a student, and it's your first time renting privately, if that's the case, go elsewhere because they are not student friendly as they claim. Their staff must not be trained properly or they are too busy to keep on top of the paperwork, but either way, it is not ideal.

We accepted an offer on the Thursday! Really great communication with our private WhatsApp group. This meant information and questions could be answered very quickly and easily. Ben was always contactable too by phone if we had more in-depth questions. 5 star Service!! We 100% would use Jackson Bailey again and have recommended to all our family and friends.

Sam was professional throughout, and also made everything very clear for us and guided us through the whole process. Would 100% recommend.
