During the process, the communication was excellent, and the online referencing system was very easy to use. Frances was always professional, friendly, and patient, and she was happy to help whenever I had a question. I'm very happy with my new home and would highly recommend their service.
3rd Sep 2026 (16 days ago)I've known Jonathan Clegg for many years, and when I ran into serious problems with another management company, he and his staff were instrumental in helping me to navigate through a very difficult situation. They consistently went above and beyond what I could have reasonably expected, and went out of their way to deliver a top-level service. My constant impression when working with any member of the Hunter's team is that nothing is too much trouble, and that they are in my corner all the way. When I decided to leave the BTL market, they helped me find buyers for my properties and made the transactions smooth and trouble-free. I've dealth with half a dozen letting agents and estate agents in Southampton, and Hunters stands out as the best by far.

1st Sep 2026 (18 days ago)Worst rental experience of my life. They rented my family and me a freezing-cold apartment in South Western House at a very high rent. Despite repeated complaints, in my experience our concerns about the unacceptable cold and problems relating to the parking space were not properly addressed.<br>At the end of the tenancy, they charged us £145 for cleaning, even though I strongly believe we left the apartment in better condition than we received it.<br>I disputed the charge, and the dispute then resulted in a further £222 arbitration fee. Ultimately, I paid the amount after repeated references to debt collection and the potential impact on my credit record that caused considerable stress to my family.<br>Given what we experienced, I find it difficult to reconcile our experience with the large number of very positive reviews.<br>I would never rent through this agency again and would strongly advise prospective tenants to examine the terms, fees and dispute procedures extremely carefully before signing anything.

We have two properties fully managed by Charters, and at times, we forget we own these properties as the service is so good and seamless. The team always answer calls quickly, and if the property manager is not around, they always call back promptly. Thank you for all your help!
8th Sep 2026 (11 days ago)Molly recently helped us purchase our new home and, honestly, I'm not sure we would have got over the line without her.<br><br>Throughout the process, she worked tirelessly to keep things moving, chasing the sellers, the sellers' solicitors and even our own solicitors when communication stalled. She was always available to help, quick to respond and the only person involved who consistently did what she said she would do.<br><br>Buying a house can be stressful, but Molly's persistence, professionalism and proactive approach made a huge difference. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

They always help to sort any issue or talk/explain any query I have regarding the letting procedure, and I ask a lot of questions. If you are thinking of letting your property out, pop in and ask for Fran or Olivia they are both great, and i'm sure they will be happy to help.

We were not disappointed, they suggested a good price for our property and unlike some other estate agents they secured it. The communication during the sale has been excellent and they have been proactive in managing our chain, which has been key in securing a positive outcome. We can not recommend them highly enough, big is not always better and the independents like Chambers can offer a more personal service. Thanks Richard to you and your team you provided an excellent service.

Luci works hard and is there whenever you need advice. She kept us updated at all stages of the sale and as others have said she is down to earth, honest and understands the market.
