Special thank you to James Smith who was always so quick to come back to any emails we sent, and fix any issues efficiently. He offered us some great advice throughout and we are extremely grateful! We were able to completely rely on James and the team, and would recommend them to anyone looking to rent in the Clapham/Balham area.

He really took the time to understand the property and price it just right, and immediately had buyers in mind who would be interested. We had a rocky time with solicitors on both sides and Tom acted as an invaluable go-between, keeping the wheels turning and keeping all parties informed - making things far less painful than they might otherwise have been!

The viewing of the property was timely and properly conducted and they were able to provide answers and clarification to my questions. Autumn and Emma were superb in getting my agreement signed and provided me with a complete itinerary of the new place. I am happy with their services and I will strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a house to rent in London.

8th Dec 2021 (2 years ago)Engaged with Thomas Kear to help with the conveyancing for a purchase on my new property and he was very helpful by suggesting simply. Once I was working with the chosen solicitor he stayed in touch throughout the process to help hurry them along to ensure it made it to completion. Wouldn’t of got in before the stamp duty deadline if it wasn’t for his help.

9th Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)I couldn't recommend Maalems more. The team are fantastic to work with and realistic with valuations unlike most agents who tell you what you want to hear. We used them to rent our property for 5 years followed by a successful and extremely stress free sale. Our flat was under offer less than 1 week after going on the market we got above asking for it! Best estate agent around!

Francis is diligent and highly experienced, enabling him to eliminate problems before they arise, thus taking away the usual stresses and strains that comes with buying and selling your home.
27th Aug 2024 (22 days ago)I would wholeheartedly recommend the Balham branch of Hamptons. After receiving an incredible offer for the flat we were selling, they were consistently very helpful throughout what became a fairly long and drawn out process. (No fault of theirs - this was down to the buyer and his solicitor!) Both Simon and Matthew were always available to support us and clarify what was happening. This reassurance was particularly valuable for my father, who struggled at times with the process. Through their hard work and diligence, we were able to get the sale through, which at times we feared may not happen. From our experience, Hamptons provided a first class service.

18th Mar 2024 (5 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Kyra remained professional throughout our experience and she was such a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend working with her.- 11th Aug 2024 (5 weeks ago)Recently made contact over the past few months to view and secure a rental property. Was shown a place in Wimbledon by a young enthusiastic and a bit green Estate agent from the Balham branch. He didn’t call the tenant beforehand and unlocked the door whilst the tenant was still in the property. Fortunately, the tenant wasn’t upset or in a private situation and let us view. During the offer process there was a clear bidding war type scenario created by Victoria ‘Tor’ Lea. She was condescending, rude and probably made a fictional counter offer to play us off. She on multiple occasions told us to increase our offer which despite not doing she phoned back 4 times as it still got accepted. The second interaction which encouraged me to make this post was with ‘Angelina’ at the Wimbledon branch. She told me I would end up homeless or in temporary accommodation if I didn’t compromise whilst raising her voice on the phone. Generally advise from a place of sincerity, experience with estate agents and renting for over a decade to avoid Foxtons if you don’t want the headache of scaremongering or worse being spoken to like a child. To Foxtons, please could you address these behaviours with adequate customer service training and refining interpersonal communication skills amongst your workforce.
