17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

18th Jan 2026 (22 days ago)This estate agent gets you moving!!! We changed to Wood and Pilcher after being on the market with another estate agent for over five months through the Spring and Summer with no success. We approached Wood and Pilcher who agreed to take over the sale, (and were utterly professional with their guidance about how to end our contract with the other agent). Although our property was then launched with them late in the Autumn as the dark days were drawing in, we immediately had fresh viewings and a firm offer for the house within a week. This led to exchange of contracts before Christmas, and completion as soon as the solicitors were back at work in January. Their proactive approach and clear, prompt communication made all the difference. They respond to emails instantly; they followed up a query from our buyers late on a Saturday afternoon, until it was resolved and sorted before leaving their desk for the weekend. They unpicked a mistake made by solicitors and diplomatically saved the day, again with honest, clear communication between us and the buyers, which would have dragged into a complicated mess if left to the solicitors! We cannot thank them enough for the successful house sale, which all went through within weeks at a 'slow' time of year for the property market generally.

24th Nov 2025 (11 weeks ago)Similar to another review reference letting a property, they were only interested in getting their money. They allowed our tenants to leave early and refused to cover any shortfall due to their “miscommunication”. Tried to bring my family members private affairs into the situation as a way of blackmail. I am currently perusing lost earnings and blackmail complaints through the property ombudsman. Shocking.

15th Jan 2026 (25 days ago)I bought my flat using Connells in Tunbridge Wells - and I must say it was a very positive experience. The communication, in particular, was excellent - always someone in the office to pick up a phone and promised return calls were always honoured. Issues were ironed out promptly - I had a land registry problem and the team at Connells resolved it without delay. Oliver Spackman (branch manager) was always friendly and on hand to explain and to give updates. Ashton Thomas, who took care of my property viewing, was also a pleasure to deal with. Ed was very supportive and understanding of my needs while I was looking for a new property to rent . Ed was very aware of my mobility issue and always checked if a property that came up for rental was suitable and affordable for my needs . Ed would call me weekly to check up on me which I found really helpful and useful . No estate agent has ever gone above and beyond to look for suitable properties and check on someone’s wellbeing . Even though I didn’t find a property through FF . I would 100% consider using them again if needed and I will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking to sell or rent a property. Thank you so much Ed King .
11th Oct 2025 (17 weeks ago)I couldn’t recommend Burnetts more. The staff are so helpful and have such a warmth about them they make the whole process smooth and stress free. Ali in particular was amazing at liaising with both sides and moving everything along.

From start to finish, she was exceptional. It wasn’t the simplest of processes, but Tania was there for us every step of the way: consistently prompt, endlessly patient, and always thoughtful in her approach. There was one point, due to circumstances completely outside her control, where Tania had to step away temporarily, and the Wood & Pilcher Crowborough team seamlessly stepped in. They picked things up immediately and worked tirelessly to keep everything moving. It truly felt like we had a whole team looking out for us. Her communication was clear and proactive, she kept us updated without us ever having to chase, and she handled every twist and turn with absolute professionalism and kindness. Buying a house can be stressful, but Tania made it feel manageable. We are incredibly grateful for her support and wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again. Wood & Pilcher are very lucky to have her!

6th Sep 2021 (4 years ago)From the very first contact with Rohan for the valuation of our home to the eventual sale & completion we found every member of the Savills team to be exceptional. The sale was not an easy one, numerous challenges and hair pulling moments but Hannah & Oliver were tremendous, didn't miss a beat and at every twist & turn were there, proactive, helpful and communicated very openly and honestly. We would highly recommend Savills to everyone - we just hope our next purchase is with Savills.
4th Nov 2025 (14 weeks ago)No communication at all, unless instigated by us. Advertising was poor - they used none of the “extra” exposure that they promised (ie social media). Promised calls aplenty which never came. Wouldn’t recommend. Can’t comment on value for money as they did not achieve a sale.
5th Jun 2025 (8 mo. ago)If i could give them a 0 star i would. i have called twice and sent 5 emails. as i WAS interested in an office to rent at Monkhurst House, Heathfield. however they have ignored me fully! ill be writing a letter to the landlord of building saying clearly using them he/she is losing money as they are refusing to contact people back,

They always give 100% when transforming and styling spaces and take time to adjust minute details to allow properties to look their best. On top of that they have great personalities and look after those working with them and their customers. I just received a lovely card thanking me for working with them this year, an unexpected touch of kindness.

6th Feb 2026 (3 days ago)I don’t often leave reviews, especially not negative ones, but thought it only fair to warn potential buyers and sellers of my experience. I called recently to enquire about a property which was listed for sale. I was surprised when Thomas Neville answered, to hear the discourteous tone from the offset. I wondered what I had done wrong to receive this hostility. It turned out the house had already sold and the sellers were only open to back up buyers in a strong position, which is totally reasonable. However, the way I was spoken to, especially when it was decided that I was not a suitable candidate to view the house, really took me aback. I have seen similar reviews (see below) where the estate agent has replied stating they are malicious reviews from a competitor. I can assure people reading this that I am not a competitor, we are a local family hoping to find our family forever home! If you’re considering listing with the agent please consider that potential buyers may be spoken to very rudely.
