From start to finish, the whole process felt incredibly smooth, straightforward and stress-free, and we were so impressed with the level of communication and service throughout. A huge thank you in particular to Tom West, who was brilliant every step of the way. He was always quick to respond, incredibly helpful, and made everything feel easy and seamless. We felt really well looked after and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend Savills Clifton, and especially Tom, to anyone in the area looking to buy or sell. A truly excellent service!

16th May 2026 (14 days ago)Giving 2 stars because the estate agent who showed us round the rental property was very nice. Everything else was pretty bad. My partner came too close to not having a place to live because Debbie Fortune were so unbelievably unproactive. Try phoning them multiple times? No answer. Emails? Expect at least 4-5 days for a response. Luckily my partner found a place in time. I looked yesterday and saw that the property we looked around has been relisted with another estate agent. I wasn't surprised in the slightest.

The quality of the Mark Templer services, from pricing, brochure style, pitching of sales and the all important progression to completion is exceptional. They also helped us find a great new home to make our own. Thanks to everyone involved.

13th Jan 2025 (1 year ago)Bad experience here. I have been waiting for the return of deposit since 08/09/2024 (check-out date), at time of writing the date is 04/12/2024. Despite asking for updates and calling, I have not received any response from this agency for 2+ weeks. IMO, there are many other options in Bristol worth trying before Chase Buchanan Downend.
19th May 2026 (11 days ago)I completed on my purchase of my beautiful cottage in Wotton recently and cannot recommend Christina, Sally and the whole team highly enough. They were absolutely brilliant. Very professional, engaging and knowledgeable indeed. A real asset to Wotton. If you are looking to sell or purchase a property in the area you will certainly be in good hands with them. Ten out of ten! Many thanks indeed for all their help. Lovely goodie bag too! ??????

27th May 2026 (3 days ago)Our specific point of contact tom has been good, communication has been great and he has been very responsive. We weren't that happy with the pictures and our advert. There also wasn't great availability of agents available to carry out our viewings at preffered times i.e weekends.

They also offered their own input and advice which was really helpful too. Massive thank to the Holbrook team for helping us out throughout the home buying journey

Despite being told by Peter Greatorex to take our formal complaint to the ombudsman, it turns out that his company isn’t registered with the ombudsman. That should tell you all you need to know.
21st Apr 2026 (6 weeks ago)My friend and I were renting a flat in the Downend area through a company called Intire. We were happy with the service they provided. Then that was switched to Chase Buchanan and things went down hill. Within months, they notified us that 'the landlord' had decided to increase our rent by 30%. I was in a low paid job & my friend had recently lost her job so it would have been a struggle to afford that. After some discussions, it was agreed that it would be reduced to 'just' a 15% rise. Still a struggle but we managed. About 10 moths later, they informed us - BY EMAIL - that the landlord had decided to sell the flat & that we had to get out. There was no chance of us affording to live together elsewhere and, as we were getting zero help from Chase Buchanan, we had to separate. They also charged us £300 (+ VAT) to have the place deep cleaned after we left when the flat was far from clean when we moved in 6 years earlier. Some staff were helpful at times but I found it very unprofessional to be told that we were being evicted by email. The only good thing to come out of this is that we'll never have to make use of the services again.

From the very first viewing right through to completion, he was so friendly, easy to talk to, and always there when we needed him. He kept us in the loop the whole way through and was always quick to come back to us if we had any questions, which made everything feel a lot less stressful. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and you could tell he genuinely wanted to help things move along. Buying a house can be overwhelming, but Tom made it feel so much more manageable. He was always reassuring and just really good to deal with from start to finish. We’re really grateful for all the support from Tom and gth, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
