I've never experienced such slow communication with any other agency. 3rd Aug 2026 (8 weeks ago)Have known Paul & Ray for years and seen the business grow but they have kept that family feel which is rare in this industry. Very knowledgable as you would expect but friendly with it always on hand to offer advice in both rentals and selling. As they say “ you get what you pay for” you get more than what you pay for with this company. A pleasure to have watch them grow into what they are now .
22nd Jan 2026 (8 mo. ago)The whole team at Arkwright’s in Saffron Walden have been a joy to work with. From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. I would highly recommend them and especially if you have a slightly quirky property. Thanks to all.

Paula Lawrence heads a team that are professional, knowledgeable and proactive whilst remaining friendly and supportive throughout. We felt very well looked after and would definitely recommend them.

Great communication and easy to get hold of when needed, keeping me updated at every stage and making sure everything was in place for the move in. Her friendly and approachable manner really stood out to us. Would highly recommend!

19th Sep 2026 (9 days ago)Do not trust for renters - when a landlord falls through they hold onto your holding deposit then go radio silent when you ask for it back. They earn a star for the promptness and politeness of their correspondence when asking for your money though.- 25th Sep 2026 (3 days ago)I recently sold my house through Intercounty Stansted and was extremely impressed with their professionalism. Carol and Tom were outstanding throughout — organised, supportive, and always clear in their communication. They made what is a very stressful time a lot easier, and I’d highly recommend them.

6th Sep 2026 (22 days ago)Avoid this company they made buying our first home an awful experience. I’d especially advise you to avoid Susie Ralston and Paul Howell. Told me the role as an estate agent is to list and sell a property and any chasing of a chain is simply a good will gesture and falls outside of the estate agent’s ethics.<br>They had the audacity to advise thier contact log showed 32 contact points since April. Yes 32 times I had to chase and ask for updates to which I was met with nothing meaningful and to contact my solicitor. They also had the cheek to say I knew the vendors daughter in law so I had updates from them - shouldn’t have to justify I know sometime from a school run not personally as a friend.<br>Ignored my complaint request for compensation.<br>Property onbudsman is my next step.

22nd Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)We sounded like an easy customer: three bedroom house, nice garden, granny annex in highly sought-after location, on the market for the first time in 80 years. Fast-Forward three months and to everyone's horror, the house was built in 1909 using a method that no mortgage-lender would sell on. That would have been the cue for most estate agents to drop the client. Pottrill Holland stuck with us - suggesting transitioning to an auction, and staying with us through the entire process. Absolute integrity and commitment, we owe them everything.
