29th May 2026 (23 days ago)Horrendous customer service and complete lack of accountability If I could give zero stars, I would. We enquired about a highly sought-after 5-bedroom letting and were told there was only one specific day available for viewings. We completely rearranged our schedules and drove nearly an hour (a 2-hour round trip) to attend. Upon arrival, the agent was nowhere to be found. When we called, it turned out the agent had booked us into a completely different 3-bedroom property at a totally different location. Because of their internal administrative blunder, we missed out on the correct property entirely, as it went under offer to people who were actually given the correct address. When we raised this with the branch manager, Christina, instead of apologizing professionally and offering a solution, she actively tried to shift the blame onto us. She argued that because their automated confirmation email contained the wrong address, it was our job to proofread their agent's data entry before traveling. She then bizarrely claimed that because the property was high demand, it didn’t matter that we were sent to the wrong house because we "might not have got it anyway." An absolute masterclass in gaslighting and shocking customer service. They refuse to take responsibility for their own staff's human errors. If you are a landlord, be aware that this agency is actively losing you good, proceedable tenants through pure incompetence and then alienating them afterwards. Avoid at all costs.
6th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)As a buying agent I’ve had regular contact with Jackson’s in Newmarket over the last few years and I have found them a pleasure to deal with. Both on the purchase and rental side they have always kept me informed of opportunities and been on the front foot keeping me in mind. A special mention to Ed Russell whose help and advice and general availability for a chat have been brilliant and much appreciated- 20th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Don't bother to clean up too much, no matter how hard you try they will still charge you hundreds of pounds. After living at one of their properties for just 6 months, I handed over the house as clean as I got it but they still charged me £560 for deep cleaning. Very disappointed I DON'T RECOMMEND IT!

28th May 2026 (24 days ago)Our experience trying to sell our property with William H Brown was extremely disappointing and ultimately quite disastrous. Before we signed with them, the team were highly proactive in their communication and sales pitch. We were promised consistent outreach to potential buyers, regular updates, detailed analytics, and valuable insights throughout the sales process. Unfortunately, the reality after signing the contract was completely different. Communication quickly became poor and reactive rather than proactive. We repeatedly found ourselves having to chase the team for updates and manually intervene to ensure viewers were actually being followed up with after property visits. In several cases, it appeared that little-to-no meaningful follow-up had been carried out unless we specifically requested it. There also seemed to be a lack of organisation and visibility around prospective buyers. The team often appeared unsure about where leads were in their decision-making process, whether further conversations had taken place, or what objections buyers may have had. This left us feeling as though there was no clear sales strategy or ownership of the process. Given the fees involved, we expected a far more professional, engaged, and proactive service. Instead, we were left feeling frustrated, unsupported, and lacking confidence that our property sale was being managed effectively. In the end, after a few months with WHB and no real leads for the sale of our house, we ended up going with another local estate agents who sold our house within a month. Overall, we would not recommend William H Brown based on our experience.

Rosanna Diaper was a true professional, communication with her throughout the sale was excellent and she made the whole process so much easier than I expected. 15th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)We recently had the issue of trying to sell a piece of land in Framlingham which had full planning permission but was curtailed with a Unilateral Undertaking with ESCC. Oliver Johnson, a Director of Clarke and Simpson, could not have been more helpful. He navigated us through the intricacies of planning, found a buyer and when our solicitor, Ross Coates, was closed down, he found us a new solicitor who rapidly concluded the sale. Oliver`s handling throughout could not be faulted. His communication skills and support were amazing with immediate e-mail and telephone responses. Without the knowledge and contacts that Clarke and Simpson have, I doubt that we should have sold the land, let alone advertised it. A definite rewarding experience for us. 10th Jun 2026 (11 days ago)£200 valuation fee!!! We first looked at going with shires to sell our property as they had a house we was set on purchasing made sense we went with them. We was told that there was certain things they could do to get us said house ,but we need to get on the market ASAP, We signed contract thinking that as with any contract we would have a 14 day cooling off period, so after lots of promises we where then told the property had sold which gave us some breathing space to take a step back and shop about ,we were offered a fantastic rate and was given amazing service from another agent. We informed shires we would like to terminate our contract within the 14 days cooling off period , they took this news badly, even bad mouthing other agents saying they can't do what we can ect ect ,seemed to take it personally, We was then sent a Bill for just over £200 for a valuation fee which was in small print My point being there is no cooling off period without excessive charges so just beware ,and of underhand tactics

Sienna and Zita were friendly, professional, and always happy to help with any questions I had throughout the process, all be I had many questions ?????? They made everything straightforward and stress-free, keeping me updated at every stage and ensuring the move went as smoothly as possible. Their communication was excellent, and I felt supported throughout the entire tenancy application process. I would highly recommend Tucker Gardner Ely to anyone looking to rent a property. Halfway through the sale, a pipe burst and the property flooded, creating a major setback. The team did an outstanding job of keeping everything on track, communicating effectively with all parties, and ensuring the sale progressed smoothly through to completion. They were incredibly understanding of the challenges we faced in finding a landlord willing to accept a tenant receiving benefits. Throughout the process, they were supportive, respectful, and non-discriminatory, something we unfortunately did not experience with some other agents in the area. A special thanks to Andrew, who was our main point of contact. Your understanding and compassionate approach was truly refreshing.

He handled all viewings, generated lots of interest and then was actively engaged and always there to help post-sale too, right the way to completion. I definitely would recommend to anyone.

Each person we engaged with from the office was incredibly professional and gave great advice and support, metaphorically holding our hands through the process. Stand out mentions in particular to Joe, Nicola and Matthew who always went above and beyond in looking after us and we also appreciated all the help from Morgan and Chelsea with viewings. They had regular check-ins and updates with us and they were always contactable and responsive to messages and questions which we really valued. Very pleased with the whole process and would highly recommend them.
