1st Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)We have had a great experience with Bridgefords, especially with Ashley, who was very responsive, professional, friendly, and accommodating throughout the process. Ashley made everything straightforward and was always quick to answer any questions, which really helped make the letting process smooth and stress-free. I would definitely recommend Bridgefords and really appreciate Ashley’s excellent service.
8th Feb 2026 (25 weeks ago)If I could give this agency a zero stars, I would. I have rented a property through them for four years and they don't do repairs, they gaslight you into thinking you're the problem, they've left me living in a mouldy hovel, myself and my partner have sunk over £3000 on the garden and tried to keep the property as liveable as possible. Mckale used to use RS Services as their repair contractor and they were awful cowboys that left trunking wonky and exposed hot water pipes, an electric fire that was chocolate blocked with no cut off; the two repairs they have done (after me badgering them through emails to the landlord) seem to have constituted two rent increases after each repair - firstly the electrics being updated and the second being the fallen bath (the timber beneath was rotted and basically sponge) this repair they told me they would just re-seat the bath (it was cracked and the plug was as much use as a chocolate teapot) and re-grout tiles, which were falling off due to water getting into the wall behind and causing damp. Lastly, the mould... this is being caused by the roof lining/roof in general being in need of repair and water getting into the front wall of the home causing mould, the front door is shot as is the windowsill in the lounge (a horrid draft comes from beneath this), and Mckale have come out and taken photos in order to "get this sorted" but recently they have told me there is "no mould issue and it is a ventilation problem" - we have the windows open regularly, use a condenser dryer and fans on when cooking/showering, so the above quote is gaslighting. Now, they wish to increase the rent citing "similar properties having higher rent amounts in the area", the only properties in the area that are similar, are on the same street and I know all of my neighbours, they don't pay anywhere near what I am paying, and they've had brand new kitchens (mine is still the one that was installed in 1995 when the property was built), new electrics and other upgrades (some have solar panels now!) (Also, check their accounts on Companies House... something fishy this way comes...) DO NOT RENT THROUGH THESE SWINDLERS!

My expectation are to receive a very good service how those expectations are exceeded every time Reeds Rains update me on my sale of property. They look to complete things fast and with great service. My best choice for estate agencies is certainly Reeds Rains.

7th Jul 2026 (27 days ago)Really disappointed with NGU Homes, asked for a tenant reference, lost the email, 5 days later still waiting, staff I spoke to refused to do anything except pass the email on and said "Well you just have to wait". Thanks for nothing.

All staff were very professional throughout and more than helpful with general queries. I especially felt listened to by Emma who really guided me through the sales process regarding time frames and next steps. Emails were answered promptly, communication was clear and I felt reassured that the team managed our sale well throughout. A very successful outcome and a big thank you.

Carla is extremely good at her job, with advice and negotiation. I would recommend Hegarties at Houghton.

22nd Jun 2026 (6 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. I paid a £150 holding deposit after being told the landlord had approved my application and that I would proceed as the tenant.<br><br>Only a few hours later, I was informed that the application had been rejected and the refund would be issued. The refund was not processed on time, forcing me to chase it daily with no proper communication or urgency. It was only returned after a full week of constant follow-ups.<br><br>Although the money was eventually refunded, the way this was handled was unacceptable, stressful, and shows a clear lack of professionalism and respect for tenants’ time and money. I would not use this agency again and strongly advise others to be cautious.
17th Jul 2026 (17 days ago)Please stay clear of this company. They are highly unprofessional and have no desire to stand by their own terms and work in a smooth and timely manner. They do not stay updated on any progress when working through a purchase of a property and do not act as if they want to get to completion within their own 60-day terms. I had two occasions on the same property when a mortgage valuation was booked in, and the Jack Senior at Let Property assured me the first would be completed. Once no one turned up at the property to allow access for the valuation, it had to be rebooked, and when I spoke to Jack again he assured me 100% someone would be there. But again, when the valuer arrived at the property no one was there to allow access. Also during the process it would take days, sometimes a week, to get a simple bit of info or just a return call from Jack or anyone at Let Property. They set 60-day completion terms, which I was happy to work to and moved fast on my side, but when they constantly delayed things, it got to the point nothing was moving foward. On top of this, they take a reservation deposit and will not refund it has we are past the 60-day terms even with the delays being their own fault. I would highly recommend staying clear and using any other company. I have found Pure Investor to be very professional, helpful and hardworking to make sure both the seller and buyer are happy and continue to get things moving forward.

We were not just another house sale, Paul was supportive, informative, available even at night time when you may need answers Paul would reply. 1st Feb 2020 (6 years ago)We found Your Move - Houghton-le-Spring to be a very professional and efficient estate agency. From first contact, the valuation, photography, brochure preparation, first viewing and receipt of an offer for full asking price took less than 3 weeks. Sales Manager Rachel Smiles was especially helpful in giving advice on content of the sales brochure and her friendly staff in arranging the 2 viewings by first interested party. We would highly recommend this agency to value and sell your property quickly at its true market value.
