7th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)Tried to rent a property, but the Lettings Negotiator was unable to prepare the Tenancy Agreement in a timely manner, and even then expected us to give notice on our current tenancy before signing the new tenancy agreement with them. After missing the first cut-off date that we told them we would need to sign the tenancy agreement by, they then had another 4 weeks to prepare the tenancy agreement, but were once again unable to do so in a timely manner. The Lettings Negotiator blamed this on the landlord not replying to her emails. Did you not think to phone and find out an answer over the phone? The result is our tenancy application was declined. What an absolute waste of time this was. Thankfully, I have obtained details of the landlord and will be advising her of the true reasons for the continuous delays in this process that ultimately led to our applicaton being declined.<br><br>They use Homelet to run the reference checks, which took over 2 weeks to complete. This was also part of the delay. If you are self-employed or Homelet have to complete any manual human checks, then expect long delays. I sent multiple messages to Homelet and made multiple phone calls, but they did not reply to any of my messages. This is a service chosen by Robinsons, therefore Robinsons has to accept responsibility of the fact that Homelet is a very poor and slow service. I will never use any estate agents that uses the Homelet service in the future.

This included full property compliance management throughout.<br><br>Their qualified lettings team truly delivered on their promise of providing "complete peace of mind, with every aspect of the tenancy." Professional, responsive, and thorough.<br><br>A special call-out to Deb Hodgson, Senior Sales Negotiator, and her Sales Team for their excellent guidance through the recent tenancy dispute and resolution, and for helping the sale go through without a hitch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I rented one of their properties for almost three years, but towards the end of my tenancy the staff were careless, slow to respond and unprofessional. Despite having my Right to Rent share code, they never raised the approaching expiry with me. When I informed them a month in advance that I was leaving the UK, they insisted on two months’ notice, while initially telling me the property would be prepared for sale after I left, which gave me the impression that my departure had been accepted. Only much later did they tell me that my deposit would be withheld unless I paid another month’s rent. The delayed and unclear communication made an already stressful international move unnecessarily difficult. It was a complete mental harassment. I expected much better professionalism after being their tenant for nearly three years.

Despite not being our estate agent, Danielle was excellent at ensuring I was updated, answering any questions I had, and keeping the whole process moving. Danielle always responded promptly, was extremely polite, professional and friendly, and in my opinion went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. I would recommend Danielle at Brunton Residential for anyone who wants to buy/sell a property.

All of the staff in the office were efficient on the telephone and kept us updated on the sale. All calls were answered promptly and returned within the agreed timescales.<br>Huge thanks to Julie and the team to make the sale of the house as smooth as possible and keeping us updated when there were delays.

All staff were very professional throughout and more than helpful with general queries. I paid a £150 holding deposit after being told the landlord had approved my application and that I would proceed as the tenant.<br><br>Only a few hours later, I was informed that the application had been rejected and the refund would be issued. The refund was not processed on time, forcing me to chase it daily with no proper communication or urgency. It was only returned after a full week of constant follow-ups.<br><br>Although the money was eventually refunded, the way this was handled was unacceptable, stressful, and shows a clear lack of professionalism and respect for tenants’ time and money. I would not use this agency again and strongly advise others to be cautious.

We decided to sell and received a very professional service with regular updates and emails. The house sold quite quickly and Hills continued to provide help and support until the sale completed. The communication was strong throughout the process , including gathering helpful feedback from potential buyers and liasing with surveyors. After some research we knew John Buck was the right agent for us! The communication has been second to none and nothing too much trouble, even getting replies late on an evening which wouldn't happen with other agents.<br>The attention to detail for the photos and social media content was unbelievable and making everything look perfect was a priority. The marketing across social media is the way forward and it 100% shows it works for these guys.<br>Our house sold in less than 24 hours!!! What a result.
