17th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)What a different way to sell a home, with supportive, gentle and trustworthy people. We’d been mulling over the idea of relocating out of London for years and even discussed putting our home on the market with Unique previously. What we like is that there is no big sales pitch, no pressure to sell, just listening and responding. But more importantly, keeping both our buyers and us calm, communicative and friendly throughout the sale, so it felt as smooth as it could possibly be. We’re not planning to do move again any time soon, but we’d definitely use Unique if we were.

25th Mar 2024 (4 weeks ago)I had a valuation done by Toby Hayward on Wednesday last week. What a nice guy! Very professional, on time and very well presented. He was highly knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions and queries clearly and fully. The process was made much easier by his friendly and calm attitude, and both myself and my partner were made to feel relaxed. Also, he has a good sense of humour and likes a bit of cake! I would highly recommend doing business with Toby, as I’m sure I will be in the future.
18th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)We used Savills Exeter to sell our residence in North Devon. The process was very smooth from start to finish, especially impressive given a challenged trading environment and interest rate uncertainty. We achieved our target price with a very harmonious closing process. I think both the Buyer and Seller should equally feel good about the transaction, facilitated in no small part due to Savills Exeter. Of particular note was Chris Clifford's professionalism and exceptional communication skills that went above and beyond - a great comfort to my wife and me. Recommended.

3rd Apr 2024 (22 days ago)I dealt with Stags Exeter Office letting team on a number of apartments. Advice on rents and marketing proved to be correct every time and in documenting deals agreed they were efficient and thorough. Tess, Jackie and the team were a pleasure to deal with and, when asked, even willing to provide generally tenancy advice on matters outside their role. Would I use them again? Without hesitation.

Always professional, even when it gets stressful, Helen was a godsend and was always at the end of the phone when we needed her. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

They have been friendly, polite, professional and more than helpful in dealing with us and our elderly mother. Thank you both and all the team. 8th Apr 2024 (17 days ago)Offer to buy a house was accepted and it was up to our surveyors to highlight a Grade 2 listing. Whilst Knight Frank ‘empathise’ we are at considerable out of pocket expense. Property now correctly advertised as listed and whatever the background of who claims what, the agent is expected to have carried out due diligence to confirm facts of what they are marketing. Knight Frank Exeter blame their customer and empathise with potential buyer where legislation states an agent must disclose all information before costs related to surveying or conveying are undertaken. However, this shoddy outfit shirk all responsibility; what a reflection of where we are in todays world. Referring to ombudsman as customer service are running on pastoral ‘empathy’ rather than address a problem where potential buyers remain considerably out of pocket. Our contract was with Knight Frank and their codes of ethics and standards where due diligence is the foundation. The Exeter office has failed miserably to address their duty of professional responsibility. Buyers (and sellers) beware! (investigation response was that "we didn't know, not out fault") With a pending county court claim all is resolved!

He passed onto me a list of architects, one of whom is now assisting me with the best way to tackle the issue of creating parking. There was no gain for James to visit to him so I am very grateful.

They made letting our property straightforward, supporting and guiding us through the process all the way. Their attention to detail is superb and just wish we could clone them! 13th Apr 2024 (12 days ago)We had them as a managing agent of our home. At every opportunity they aimed to take money from us and mess us around as students. Didn't fix any of the issues we raised that meant six of us had to live from one fridge for a few months. Didn't mention the knotweed in the garden that we had to deal with. Withheld some of our deposit (£90 for fixing a toilet seat for example) that we later found out from the next tenants they didn't even fix. One of the tenants had to essentially live in the library or anywhere else as his room's walls were so damp and covered in black mould even though he barely spent any time in there and left the window open. They tried charging him £240 for the state of his walls as they got the before and after photo mixed up (the after photo was better as he had scrubbed his walls clean with appropriate black mould remover!!). Absolute hell and quite unpleasant people to deal with. Wouldn't recommend if you have to deal with them managing your property, they do not care about students!

This included clear advice so that I could understand my obligations, the necessary checks and inspections and the letting agreement itself. They did an excellent efficient job, communicating well with myself and tenants throughout the process and staying within their original budget estimate. They delivered great value for money and I can thoroughly recommend BOP to anyone with property to let in the Torrington area.
