17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

From the initial consultation, where local property values were clearly explained and a realistic selling price established, right through to completion.<br>BOP were very proactive in ensuring the selling process ran smoothly, and were always on hand to offer help and advice, as well as going above and beyond in dealing with our and our buyers' legal representatives to help iron out the inevitable issues that arose along the way.<br>By far and away the best experience I have had with an estate agent.

1st Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)Nick Jane and Emma Dark managed our sale. Savills’ fee was very competitive. Nick and Jane and their team were excellent, communicating at all points, constantly on top of events, making sure that all parties in our chain of 5 (!) properties worked at speed and together. We’ve moved a number of times, but this is the best experience we have had with estate agents. I have no hesitation in recommending the Savills Exeter team.
29th Jul 2026 (7 days ago)After a very disappointing experience trying to sell our house through a well known rival estate agent, we changed agents to Strutt and Parker, Exeter.<br>Tom was excellent. He took on board our views, was supportive , proactive, and very good at keeping us updated . Within a couple of months we had accepted an offer. Unfortunately, this sale fell through, but approximately 6 months later, in a challenging market, we had accepted another offer and subsequently completed the sale of our property. Throughout the process, Tom and his support staff maintained excellent communication between all parties. We would highly recommend Tom and his team.
16th Jul 2026 (20 days ago)We used Webbers in Ilfracombe to purchase our new home. We came to their office on many occasions and were always given friendly and helpful service. Once we had found the property we wished to buy, we dealt exclusively with Shannon who really worked hard to keep us and the estate agent we were selling our current home with fully updated. It was clear that she was also working hard to fully engage with her clients selling their home to us as well. Thank you for such good service Shannon.

Wasn’t sure what todo so I asked if it could reduce it twice, I now think I made the wrong decision, but was not advice.- 30th Jul 2026 (6 days ago)PSD we’re very professional and considerate in all our dealings with them. The majority of our interaction was with Cleeve and he was very helpful and caring. He gave us all the time we needed over several viewings and always responded to any questions or queries quickly. The overall service was excellent and we would strongly recommend the Braunton team.

11th Aug 2025 (11 mo. ago)Unlike other estate agents that we tried, EweMove are without a doubt the best estate agents around with their proffessionalism, knowledge, network, skills, dedication and enthusiasm. They were encouraging and caring during the many viewings, then once an offer was accepted they kept us constantly updated on the sale progression within the chain, which at times was more than our own solicitors managed to do.... As people now have more choice on both types of properties, locations and values, its becoming harder to sell properties, especially the larger and more costly properties, but thanks to Tom, Abi, Connor, Laura, Russell & the rest of the team we have successfully sold and exchanged contracts last week on our property and can now look forward to a new chapter in our later life's. Well done and a big thank you to the EweMove Team.

Myself and partner moved to Ilfracombe at the drop of a hat and Nicola helped us find, view and secure a property within a week, which is impressive!<br><br>Throughout the entire process, she was proactive, professional, and the communication was excellent - she provided regular updates and was always available to answer any questions we had.<br><br>Her dedication and efficiency made what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and straightforward. I would highly recommend Douglas & Dean to anyone looking for reliable and knowledgeable property agents!
