Simon was friendly, helpful and highly efficient in all my dealings with him. His years of experience proved invaluable. When communication was needed, he was always there to keep me informed, providing a vital link between the vendors and solicitors. 2nd Sep 2026 (15 days ago)I can’t recommend Hamptons highly enough! Jason was fantastic from the moment we contacted Hamptons to register our interest in finding a new house in Haslemere. He listened to our requirements and helped to buy our wonderful new home. He always keeping us informed of what was happening in the chain and was very supportive and reassuring along the way. Stuart was also extremely helpful in making sure the purchase progressed. I wish all estate agents provided such a great service.
7th Sep 2026 (10 days ago)Didn’t hear much from them in the first 6 weeks and a very tough market to try and sell in. Once we started chasing them things started to happen, I did feel they were more reactive rather than pro active. A few different staff members with varying levels of ability, I got the feeling they are going through some changes.

26th Aug 2026 (22 days ago)Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with BCM Wilson Hill.<br>I thought I was in a fair negotiation for a property but had to continually chase them for weeks to get any updates.<br>When I finally did get a reply over 3 weeks later they had negotiated and agreed the tenancy with another company who viewed and put an offer in several weeks after I made our offer.<br>It has left us without office space with a month before the potential move date.<br>I have found the whole experience most distressing and disappointing on a professional level from BCM and hate having to leave such a negative review.
20th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I would highly recommend Peter from RH & RW Cluttons in Petworth. Peter never failed to update me daily with emails, even working into the night to make sure I was aware of every progress. He was there at the end of the phone with any concerns and made sure he went out of his way to find the answer. He even phoned me on WhatsApp whilst holidaying in USA when we were having issues dialling out. He was sensitive and caring to our needs as a purchaser and to his clients and passionate about doing a good job, you can tell, he really does care! Nothing was too much trouble and he was always there to help. Thank you Peter for helping us with our beautiful, new home!

9th Aug 2023 (3 years ago)Dean and Nicola handled our sale. The purchaser made the process drawn out and quite stressful but Dean and team were superb. In particular they were very responsive to all messages and communicated constantly - so even when the delays were stressful we had the very welcome contact and reassurance we needed. I have to say we were very a little embarrassed by the commission rate for the amount of work they did. Great value for money. Professional at all times and lovely to deal with. Big thank you. (Ps review site is odd - tapped the far right star in most cases and assume this registered 5*. It would be better if the stars turned gold so you knew for sure what you were scoring).
1st Sep 2026 (16 days ago)Very poor communication (no answers to phone calls) and limited contact throughout. The branch appears to be regularly closed and not open as in accordance with their opening hours on Google (don't waste your time driving there, you will hit a locked front door), making it difficult to get any assistance.<br>The branch displays properties in its window that do not appear to be marketed by the agency. This creates a misleading impression of the instructions they hold and raises questions about transparency.<br>Overall, frustrated and disappointed with this agent.

Their approach to property sales and lettings feels more personal than the usual estate agency experience, and I appreciate the emphasis on clear communication and having a dedicated point of contact. The team comes across as professional, approachable and knowledgeable about the local market. A good option for anyone looking for a property service that feels organised, transparent and focused on the client.
15th Jul 2024 (2 years ago)It has been quite a pleasant experience with Charlie Salter . He works high-efficiently and always gives us the very prompt reply of every enquiry. Honestly, we have been looking for a proper property for a couple of weeks but didn’t manage to get a proper one . Fortunately, Charlie gave us great help and assisted us to secure a nice property in Fishbourne , feel so very appreciated to his personal help ! He definitely deserves a five-star review ! Highly recommended.

James was thorough and knowledgeable at the valuation, and I was pleased with the listing and photos.<br><br>Communication was great throughout, with Harry, Aiden and the whole team very responsive and regularly checking in. We achieved a good price, and I was very happy with the service from beginning to end.

15th Jul 2025 (1 year ago)Overpromised, Underperformed and Untrustworthy – My Costly Mistake with HSD I initially listed my property with PurpleBricks in March 2025 for £535,000. After limited viewings over a three-month period, I began exploring other options and submitted an enquiry to WeBuyAnyHouse. They quickly came back with an offer of £460,000—roughly 14% below asking—claiming it would allow for a quick sale. I immediately declined, as I was not in a rush and didn’t want to take such a significant loss. Shortly after, my details were apparently passed on to House Sales Direct (HSD), seemingly a sister company, without my explicit consent. HSD came across as professional and engaging at first. They promised a 98% success rate in selling properties within 28 days, citing a strong network of pre-approved buyers and investors who could complete within 6–8 weeks. They suggested a sale price spread of £510k–£535k, assuring me they would work to get me the best price possible. It sounded promising. Based on these assurances, I decided to proceed with HSD. I withdrew my PurpleBricks listing—costing me £300—with the understanding that HSD’s investor network would accelerate the sale. But things quickly began to unravel. Despite supposedly having investors lined up, HSD said they needed to relist my property on Rightmove first. When I questioned why investors couldn’t simply view the home, the response was vague. It took nearly two weeks for them to relist, and the new asking price was £525,000. A full week passed without any communication. Then came a call recommending the price be dropped to £499,000. I was told this was “just a marketing tactic,” and that they still aimed to get me a sale within the original £510k–£535k range. But I struggled to understand how listing a property nearly £40,000 lower would achieve that. I asked again about the investors. They finally admitted the only offer received was the same £460k I'd declined weeks earlier through WeBuyAnyHouse. This was when the red flags really began to show. Why wasn’t I told this upfront? Why present an optimistic price range if their investor offer was fixed at £460k from the beginning? Why was I encouraged to pull the property from PurpleBricks if they intended to rely on the open market anyway? I could have just reduced the price there and avoided unnecessary costs and delays. Doing more research online, I found stories from others with eerily similar experiences. It appeared HSD’s real model was to attract sellers with high expectations and then drop the price, relying on open-market tactics to force a quick sale. Despite claiming not to charge commission, they would never clearly explain how they made their money. It seems they may be negotiating higher prices with buyers while offering sellers less—profiting off the gap. No transparency, no trust. Meanwhile, they knew I was paying a high mortgage on an empty property. It became clear they were hoping I’d become desperate enough to accept the same low £460k offer I had already rejected twice. In the four weeks my property was listed with them, only four viewings were arranged. Two were no-shows. Of the remaining two, one viewer stayed for just five minutes—asked no questions and didn’t even view all the rooms. It felt performative, not serious. As expected, neither viewer submitted an offer, despite supposedly being “pre-qualified and keen.” Eventually, I told HSD I wanted to withdraw the property. That’s when I was informed—shockingly—that I had unknowingly signed up for a 52-week contract, and I’d need to pay £1,500 to exit, or £999 if paid within 7 days. I wrote to them, acknowledged that they had done some work, and offered a reasonable £699 exit fee, explaining I needed to rent the home out due to financial strain. They refused and insisted on full payment. I paid the £999 immediately—but it still took a full week and several chasers before they finally removed the property from Rightmove. By the end of the ordeal, it was clear I was no longer a priority for them. In summary: Do I regret choosing HSD? Absolutely. Would I recommend them to someone looking for a fair, transparent, and professional house sale experience? No. If your only goal is to sell quickly and you don’t care about value, they might work for you. But if you want to sell your home at a decent price with a partner you can trust, I strongly advise staying away from HSD.

Minimal viewings Person showing the house (not the exp lead) arrived at the same time as the potential buyers so house wasn’t opened up or displayed to best advantage No communication from the estate agent I would not use exp again. Very disappointed.
