26th Apr 2024 (0 days ago)My impression is that none of the BM staff had any experience whatsoever - a very junior inexperienced team, lead by a very lacklustre, hands-off manager. It was clear very quickly they were not representing my house properly - which is the easiest house to sell! It's turnkey ready - presented as a show house in the most-sought after area, and on a private street. Yet i got not one viewing in 7 weeks! I had to re-write all the particulars - they missed ALL the sellable details! Because they were in breach of their own contract by going to market without my knowledge or permission, I was able to leave when they finally terminated the contract only after I brought in a litigator. Horrendous experience. Their contracts are also 20 weeks long! Stay away! Use a local, independent estate agent who cares about their reputation, knows the area, has a strong staff retention rate, employees who are homeowners and have gone through the buying/selling process themselves and want to do a great job.

23rd Apr 2024 (3 days ago)We want to thank the team at Hamptons in Epsom, Leon, Laura and Eric for the excellent service we experienced in the handling of the sale of our property in Ashtead. From securing the original viewings in a tricky property market to managing what was a long and complicated process, they were responsive, proactive, diplomatic and professional throughout. We would highly recommend them to local sellers.

Adam Burlison and his team guided us through a tricky purchase and, put simply, went way above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we completed our purchase and got into our new home before Christmas. We are confident in saying our transaction would not have completed without the support of Adam and his super positive and supportive team. From the start of our house search they were the only Estate Agents in Esher to take us seriously as buyers, showing us three houses in the same week on a specific estate where they are experts and clearly the preferred agency by the residents on that estate. Their investment in us paid off as we persevered with a very complex and lengthy transaction that many buyers would have walked away from. Could not recommend them highly enough.

4th Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)I lost 4 moths and 7k in fees because of misrepresentation. They fail to ask or choose to hide basic facts prior to listing a property causing a lot avoidable stress when you work with the right agent.This is fraud in the name of business Buyer be aware! Stay away.

4th Dec 2023 (21 weeks ago)I cannot speak more highly of the team at Ashtead. I sold my house and the whole process was handled professionally and as smoothly as possible. I really liked the personal service and the “genuine” approach, especially having moved the house sale from one of the competitors in the area. Dan and the team were always super helpful and responded quickly to any questions or queries that I had. I also purchased a new home through V&H. Again, Maria and the team were absolute super stars. I always felt updated and they had my interests in mind at all times. I would highly recommend. Huge thanks, Catherine.

We found Frank to be very friendly, efficient, experienced and diplomatic which came in helpful with the many setbacks which were out of our control. We received his full attention and very good communication skills. Toomey’s is a great independent caring and respectful company and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.

31st Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Deal with this estate agent will be nightmare you prepare to be. just bought a house in guildford. given the offer to the seller. the estate agent pushed price and arrange unrealistic exchange and completion date. this results in the seller withdraw the listing. half year later, the seller is ready to sell. the estate agent disclosure both the sellers and buyers personal information to financial brokers and insurance thirdparties for marketing. during the communication with them, it is hugely unreliable and unfriendly. no customer service and professionalism. at the completion date, the sellers cannot give keys to estate agent and the buyers waste time to wait for the keys to be given. completely rubbish. both the sellers and buyers should be avoid..

He had the house on the market before the others had even sent a photographer round , by the time they had, laurels had sold the property ( 8 days ) for the price we wanted. Again through the whole process Fraser kept us informed and nothing was to much trouble for him, I think Laurels are lucky to have him . And would highly recommend laurels ????????????????????- 22nd Dec 2021 (2 years ago)I cannot say enough about V&H Homes and specifically Maria at the Ashtead Branch. While they are a smaller independent agent, they will absolutely give you the personalized service that an independent can provide. Give those big estate agents in Surrey a miss, take your business to V&H. The communication throughout the process was exemplary, the dedication to getting the sale was second to none. We had tried to sell previously with the usual suspects in Surrey and none of them could get the sale and it seemed hopeless, V&H got it done in 10 days! There were many times in our sale where things got rocky and Maria went well over and above day in and day out to ensure that everything went through. I truly believe that if we had went with another big establishment high street agent that our sale would not have happened. While Maria was absolutely amazing, we also had interactions with the other associates at Ashtead V&H Homes. When Maria was out of office our file was well looked after, the service didn’t slip at all which is very rare in a sales situation. As I said at the beginning of this review, I really can’t say enough about Maria and V&H. These days reviews are either 5* or 1* and it’s getting more and more difficult to sift through them to make a decision. This is 100% a genuine 5* review. Were there issues in the sales process, of course there were, we were selling a house. But it wasn’t about the issues, it was about how they were handled, the speed at which they were handled, and the fact that when something came up we were never left to worry, V&H were always just a phone call or e-mail away. Thank you so much Maria and V&H Homes for the personalized service and all the time and effort that you spent on our file. We absolutely owe our sale and the fact that we are snugly in our new home all to you! Very best regards, Danny

14th Sep 2023 (7 mo. ago)I just bought my first house! and how fortunate I was to have had such an amazing experience. The stories I have heard from first time buyers left me apprehensive to enter an estate agency. But, after walking through Leatherhead high street and passing multiple agency I peered into the window of Cubitt & West. I was delighted to see how friendly the staff appeared. Immediately upon entering I was greeted with warm smiles and a good afternoon. A lady, very well dressed and professional introduced herself. What can I say the rest is history. We went through all my preferences, likes, dislikes and things I hadn't even considered. My details were collected, and I was added to their data base. A few days later I received a call from the same lady and was informed of a new build meeting my criteria. I had spent the entire previous week looking, and I was so exhausted. I was quite appreciative of both the call and how promptly it occurred. I scheduled a showing and fell in love with the home right away. Jayde was informative and knowledgeable. A nerve-racking offer was submitted and few days later accepted! The ball was rolling and Jayde from her first hello to her congratulation’s kept me update-to-date throughout the whole journey to purchasing my first home.
