22nd Aug 2026 (26 days ago)I personally have not dealt with this company but my family member has.<br>He paid £2300 for a deposit and after "repairs" they say he owes them money, the repairs came to around £1500, (£750 on painting & decorating....that WE would of done had he had permission to paint, our family has decorating qualifications, its a family trait) so HOW does my family member OWE YOU money?<br>All the repairs he reported never got fixed, and now he's getting charged for them, worst estate agent going, stay away from them.<br>They've caused my family member an unbelievable amount of stress.<br>They also take weeks to reply to anything you email about.<br>They're all nice to you until they've got your deposit and monthly rent and then they're not!!<br>Steer well clear!!
28th Mar 2020 (6 years ago)After struggling to sell my house I stumbled upon Big Black Hen. I decided to call them for an initial chat. I found them to be very professional, knowledge and they have me some great tips in order to finally sell my home. We went ahead with Big Black Hen and there suggestions and hey presto, our house sold. Ive since recommend Big Black Hen to my friends and family. Great service

3rd Feb 2022 (4 years ago)First rate customer service from Vanessa and Hadley. Having known both of them for a number of years I can honestly say that they both display a sense of pride and care in their ability to look after people and do what best for their client, nothing seems too much trouble for them. A quality sadly lacking in a lot of the industry. Highly recommended.

19th Aug 2026 (29 days ago)We are first time renters and had read lots of horror stories about renting. However, I have to say so far we have been lucky to find a great team in Northwood Luton. Keneisha has been a dream to liaise with in getting the tenancy set up initially. Inevitably there have been some relatively minor issues needing attention, and we have found Kaneisha & Natasha to be super efficient in responding to these. Thanks finally to Tia also, who never once sounded exasperated with our numerous calls!

We would not hesitate to recommend Lowther Estate Agents to anyone.<br>We have had to work with 4 estate agents over the last 2 years for various reasons and Lowthers were by far the best. Richard was our agent and point of contact right throughout the process, for both our purchase and our sale. He was exceptional - and everything we wanted from our agent. He was available, accessible, down to earth, accommodating with requests, never pushy - and he supplied regular communications and updates. He understood that the move was a major life event for us and he managed the whole process calmly and professionally, chasing where necessary and advising as required. Queries were answered very promptly, every time, via phone call or WhatsApp.<br>Our experience was that as a small family run business, Lowther Estate Agents were far better equipped than the bigger chains to give us the time and personal service we wanted, with Richard and Toni-Ann working together to manage the whole process. We cannot speak highly enough of the service we received.<br><br>We had thought that all estate agents were pretty much the same. They are not!

Urban & Rural (Toddington) –<br><br>I had a fantastic experience selling my property in Barton-le-Clay with Urban & Rural’s Toddington branch and couldn’t recommend them enough! Jonathan Howe was brilliant to work with—he’s extremely well-spoken and had excellent knowledge of the local area and properties here. The whole team provided outstanding communication, keeping me fully updated at every stage of the process. I worked with other estate agents before and it was a huge difference—they gave me very little feedback and the process felt impersonal and unprofessional. Urban & Rural were efficient, transparent, and genuinely dedicated to getting the best result. Vicki and Helen have supported us through the process and been instrumental in making it quick and straightforward. They had viewers lined up before our house went on the market resulting in it selling on the day it went live!<br><br>Family members had also recently made a purchase through VLS, and we had been extremely impressed with the professionalism and knowledge Helen had when showing that property.<br><br>We made use of the complementary mortgage advice from VLS Mortgages and Kirsty has been brilliant, providing all the advice we needed and quickly updating our mortgage offer when rates briefly came down. Charlotte was also great in explaining our life insurance options and securing the policy for us.<br><br>We would not hesitate in recommending VLS to anyone looking to sell their property!
