30th Oct 2026 (2 days ago)Lancasters continue to disappoint me. They don't respond to emails, and give fake promises over the phone. I have been nothing but patient and polite. But it's beyond ridiculous how they have treated me with such disregard as a tenant.<br><br>I've made another report 6 months ago and absolutely has been done.<br>There are issues with damp and black mold, blocked plumbing, freezing draughts, leaking roof. (Most of which has actually been reported as far back as 2024.)<br><br>When I moved into the property they said it would be deep cleaned. It wasn’t. It took a full day of cleaning before moving our belongings because it was absolutely filthy.<br><br>After a few months I noticed many poorly done fixes to make the house appear rentable. Alot of things had just been left broken or unusable even though there was plenty of time for it to be fixed beforehand.<br><br>I'm extremely disappointed in Lancasters lack of service and professionalism.<br><br>Edit in response to Lancasters: Not even 3 days after this review was made my partner was contacted by the agent who is in charge of this property to ask if we had left the review. He asked me to remove his name from the review which I did, (through gritted teeth) but this was the only reason we were contacted and the only reason why any works took place. It took naming an agent and to actually get something done. (Even though that something hasn't been completely resolved.)<br><br>It took over a month for the repointing to be done to the house and for extractor fans to be put in the kitchen and bathroom (which somehow don't help)<br>The house is still freezing, the roof is still leaking when it rains and the toilet is still backed up. As of October 2026 it's now been EIGHT MONTHS since I've reported the leak and the plumbing. I contacted your "unnamed agent" again last week asking for an update and was fobbed off. Again.<br><br>So we're back to square one.<br><br>Also to try and gaslight your tenants by saying the review isn't verified because I'm not using the name on my birth certificate as a username is ridiculous to say the least. I feel like ripping my hair out every time I have to attempt contact with Lancasters to be met with dismissive responses.

Things weren’t so straightforward but they ensured we had regular updates and made sure our house sale and purchase was completed. Maria even went over and above and drove documents to Sheffield to ensure we exchanged on the right day. Thanks so much - we love our new home! ??????

Also, to mention Scarlett Rafferty who has also been outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and communication is excellent.<br>We are more than happy with the service they provide.

The whole team has been professional, friendly, and always quick to help with anything we’ve needed. A special mention has to go to Debbie, who has been absolutely wonderful throughout. She is warm, approachable, and genuinely cares about making everything as smooth and stress-free as possible. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her, and her kindness and professionalism really stand out. 13th Oct 2026 (19 days ago)?????<br><br>Where do we even begin!<br><br>My partner and I recently sold our property through Hughes, and what a rollercoaster of a journey it's been! Through absolutely no fault of Hughes, our experience of buying and selling has certainly had its fair share of ups and downs.<br><br>It all started when we found our first potential home, only to have our offer rejected. The same thing happened with the second property, but thankfully, it was third time lucky!<br><br>Throughout this process, Lewis was incredibly patient, supportive and reassuring, always reminding us that the right property would come along for us and our family. And he was right!<br><br>Fast forward to the day before completion, and what should have been an exciting time turned into our worst nightmare when our buyers pulled out. Rachel worked tirelessly to get everything back on track, going above and beyond to help save our move. I genuinely cannot thank her enough for her determination, hard work and support during what was an incredibly stressful time.<br><br>Even on completion day, the challenges weren't quite over! The property we were purchasing hadn't been fully cleared, with numerous belongings still left behind. Danielle stepped in and communicated with our buyers, explaining the situation and why we hadn't been able to completely empty our own property.<br><br>What really stood out to us was that, whenever another problem arose, there was always someone at Hughes willing to help, reassure us and find a solution.<br><br>I'd like to say a massive personal thank you to Lewis, Rachel, Danielle and the entire Hughes team.
