I found them to be very professional, knowledge and they have me some great tips in order to finally sell my home. We went ahead with Big Black Hen and there suggestions and hey presto, our house sold. Ive since recommend Big Black Hen to my friends and family. Great service

The house was well marketed and we had a buyer very quickly. Communication was good, so that any problems were quickly dealt with. Altogether a much smoother process than I was expecting.

Have to say that the guy did not come across as being very helpful and unlikely to use their services in going forwards and will take my business elsewhere.
26th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)Andrew, Gemma, Adam and the rest of the team at Haart Stevenage that have helped me & my Wife sell our house have been superb from start to finish. From keeping me up to date with what is going on with the sale, solicitors to answering any and all questions I have had. Cannot recommend them enough, if I had to do this all again I would 100% pick Haart!

Throughout what was not always a straightforward process, the team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, integrity, and compassion. They took the time to listen to our circumstances, treated my family with kindness and respect, and provided guidance and support wherever appropriate. At the same time, they never lost sight of their responsibility to their landlord client, balancing all parties' interests with fairness and transparency. What stood out most was their willingness to engage constructively, consider the facts presented, and work diligently to overcome challenges along the way. Their communication was clear, their approach was measured, and their commitment to achieving a positive outcome was evident throughout. In three words: Excellence, Integrity, and Professionalism. 11th Aug 2026 (2 days ago)Estate agents sometimes get a bad press, but Ashtons in Hitchin have been just brilliant handling the recent sale of our house. They proposed a sensible pricing strategy which generated plenty of interest, arranged photography which showed the property to its best advantage and then efficiently handled the many enquiries and viewings. Once it was under offer (after only a couple of weeks), the team navigated us through to a speedy completion with professionalism and good humour. Couldn't be happier with their service, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

5th Aug 2026 (8 days ago)One call undertook a complete refurbishment of my one bedroom flat - new kitchen, bathroom, lights, doors, plaster work, redecorating. Super reliable and high quality job pretty much on time (the heatwave slowed work a few days which is understandable). No nasty surprises when a couple of unavoidable issues popped up and I made a few new choices - I was always fully aware of cost and timetable. Highly recommended.

The service I have received has been outstanding and I am impressed with the “due diligence” they have undertaken. Giving the changing legislation affecting landlords, I feel confident that IW Estates will ensure compliance with the law. I also expect that my tenants will have confidence that issues arising with the property they are renting will be dealt with in a timely manner. My point of contact is Ellie Smith and she has been outstanding in terms of advising me, creating new tenancy agreements and meeting my tenants. I know that she is supported by others in IW Estates and my thanks go to them as well as to Ellie. In summary, in my view, a highly professional Company who do everything “by the book” and deserve to do well in the highly competitive lettings business.
