From the outset, the process was far from straightforward, with a number of challenges arising along the way, particularly around communication with the sellers and various other complexities. Despite these obstacles, the team remained professional, proactive and supportive at every stage.<br><br>David and Verity were outstanding throughout the purchase process. They consistently kept us informed, responded quickly to queries, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help overcome issues as they arose. Their persistence, attention to detail and commitment to ensuring progress was made a significant difference, and we are genuinely grateful for the role they played in helping us successfully complete the purchase.<br><br>On the sale of our property, Oliver and the wider sales team were equally impressive. Their market knowledge, guidance and dedication helped us secure the right purchaser and navigate the transaction smoothly. The whole process was very smooth and we were kept updated throughout. I would absolutely recommend this office if you are needing to let your property. Thank you!
5th Aug 2026 (12 days ago)Stayed at a short stay hosted by this company, they make you pay a £300 deposit outside of the booking app, the booking app states 7 days for this to be returned having chased this they said that their policy is 10 days, upon constant chasing 30+ days later this has still not been returned for various reasons, people on holiday, back logs etc etc, with numerous occasions of people not getting back to me, after an unsatisfactory conversation where I was told they could not give me a timescale and if I had a problem raise it with my bank. I have then left a negative review across popular review sites. They have manged to remove one of these. they have now said that they would not refund the owed deposit until I removed the review from this site, which I did as I need my money back. 5 days later still no refund so I am now posting again, really dissapointed. I have text evidence of this interaction. it is now the 5th August and no refund.

I have used Kenton for over 7years and just realised today I could leave a review which I am delighted to do because all I have received from this team is excellent services. I want to particularly thank Sue and Masie who always go over and above to manage our property. Even though we have never met because we live so far away, they are so polite and efficient over the phone. Nothing is ever too much to ask. Keep it up guys and God bless.

But from the day our house went on the market to the day we exchanged contracts, the service we received was nothing short of exceptional.<br><br>A very special thank you to the amazing Sophie and Louise you have both been absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process—always professional, reassuring, honest and incredibly supportive. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and you were always there to answer our endless questions, keep us updated and, most importantly, keep us sane! We were left high and dry after dealing with the worst estate agent in Otford, only to find ourselves thankfully in very capable hands. Seamless rental arranged by Paddi/Rose while waiting for our purchase to go through. Can't fault any of the process, always available to speak to, timely responses to emails. My sale and purchase took over a year but I was being kept updated and supported throughout the process. Jacob, thanks a million for finding the right buyers for my home. You did a great job and saved me from losing my purchase property. So happy to be in the cottage at last! I’d certainly recommend Langford Russell and feel they are the best estate agents in the Orpington area. The annual agreement renewals, reminders, legal notices, tenants deposit etc. have all been professionally dealt with on my behalf. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.
12th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)Wouldn’t recommend!<br>I have raised several concerns about one of their tenants, to Helen & the MD but nothing has been done. Emails are ignored or replied to months later with inadequate excuses, since they moved in in December 2025!<br>I am writing this review at 4 am, having been kept up until 11 pm with the 8 year old child screaming like a banshee again and now being woken up with him banging around the house!<br>I have lived at my property for four years, and the last year has been a total nightmare!

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

They helped us from<br>Start to finish, from negotiating, communicating with the seller and when the inevitable hurdles came (not from MV!) they helped us patiently, and made what could have been a bumpy process feel very smooth keeping both us and the seller of the property reassured and happy. They made us feel like a personal friend and not a client and were always happy to have a chat even when there were no real updates to share. I’d recommend this team completely.
