17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

4th Jun 2026 (15 days ago)We were so impressed with the whole team at Maddisons. They are everything that an estate agent should be. Having had a bad experience with two other agents it was a breath of fresh air as soon as we signed up with Deborah and her team. They were friendly, frank and very customer focussed. Everything went quickly and smoothly after we had an offer and we have been singing their praises. Please do give them a ring you will be looked after from day one.

24th Nov 2025 (6 mo. ago)Similar to another review reference letting a property, they were only interested in getting their money. They allowed our tenants to leave early and refused to cover any shortfall due to their “miscommunication”. Tried to bring my family members private affairs into the situation as a way of blackmail. I am currently perusing lost earnings and blackmail complaints through the property ombudsman. Shocking.

Moving house is stressful, but Andrew made the whole process feel so much easier with his calm manner, excellent communication and genuine care. Nothing was ever too much trouble and he always went above and beyond to help things move along smoothly. The sale was not an easy one, numerous challenges and hair pulling moments but Hannah & Oliver were tremendous, didn't miss a beat and at every twist & turn were there, proactive, helpful and communicated very openly and honestly. They always give 100% when transforming and styling spaces and take time to adjust minute details to allow properties to look their best. On top of that they have great personalities and look after those working with them and their customers. Thomas knew exactly what we wanted/needed in a home. Francis gave us updates weekly, daily towards exchange and completion. Also a big Thank You to Adele too. We are in our forever home and it's all Thanks to Thomas and his team.

11th Jun 2026 (8 days ago)Karen & Connor are both excellent, Karen is extremely knowledgeable and experienced . Connor is very approachable and showed our property fully during viewings . The comms from both are excellent , we loved the fact we were getting initial feedback after viewing with further feedback once they had followed up with the viewers . This takes the frustration of waiting for feedback away. Karen contacted us on her day off to start negotiating our offer . Which was both unexpected and very appreciated. We are now under off and dealing with colleagues of Karen & Connor and so far service is continuing to be great .
