My experience throughout my property search with Connells in Watford was excellent. Although I didn't buy from Connells in the end, the team were so helpful with the viewing experience as a whole. I started off by speaking to, Simon - I think his name was - he was so polite and helpful getting me in to see a few properties. Ross was also really helpful on viewings and helped answer my questions. I would definitely use Connells again in the future and recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you !!... Read more

Like previous review of my husband, we had the worst renting experience ever, so what happened we had many problems in the property starting last year first my husband moved September 2017 I wasn’t live with him , he started to contact Connells about repair issues from December 2017 we had the Check up with out solving the problem April 2018 , 5 months after and we had advised to do and not to do even the landlord come with the specialist examining me how to use the home stuffs like for example asked me to turn on the clothing dryer like I’m coming from the desert and not having Business degree!! And I didn’t live in USA before coming to live in this fancy town wow !! Nothing happened like I said Connells just give us advice to manage our previous house and now when we returned the keys 20 days later they asked to take £100 from the deposit for the landlord and the advisor specialist , we now after returning the keys 29/8/2018 staying in our relative home because we don’t have money to make deposit for new apartment and we told by this Expert agency that the deposit will sort it out 2 to 3 working days and that was 17 days ago , they can add conditions for the contract with out make you sign on it like having receipt professional cleaners or they make you bay for one even you cleaned the flat properly and made sure everything was cleaned best than the cleaning company do and you have proof about that but they still want you to bay for condition you didn’t sign , one more thing when we contact someone in this agency whw is should be manager of our case we had someone else replied to our emails and calls and then we contact this second person this person move the email for new person so we had like 15 to 20 agent replied to us when we tell them that you send it to us something they started to been lost and easily they hang up the call on you , and this is funny I know but happened to us too they can charge you Twice for the same month then they return the money 1 week after they make you in trouble with your bank.... Having dealt with more than one Block Management company whilst living in my flat for the last 8 years, it would be safe to say the service received by ABC Block Management has been far superior to any received before. From the first meeting with Richard Davidoff, to the day to day dealings with my Property Manager (and the accounts department when required) I cannot criticise the service levels. Emails and phone calls are responded to quickly and efficiently and any issues I have had have been dealt with swiftly.... Read more

On top of giving misleading information to rent the property out, their contracts are abusive. Watch out for outlandish clauses (which they won't read to you when they read you the contract before you sign it). My girlfriend got asked to leave a property 6 months early using the break clause, then after 2 months waiting for the deposit they tried to charged over 1k for the months missed from the initial term: forced to leave, forced to pay. The only reason they didn't get aeay with it is because I opened a dispute with the deposit protection scheme and they forced them to pay back. She also got charged for the supposed cleaning of non existing items in the inventory although she left the place much better than it was handed to her in the first place . Really deceitful individuals, find somewhere else to rent from -- Reply to the reply below 26 April 19 It's preditable that were ABC estates to reply to my review it would be with lies and bullying tactics. 1) Almost a year ago now, you were forced to return the money by a watchdog organization that monitors your compliance with the law, this happened because your terms ARE unfair and abusive. If you wanted to get any money back you'd have to take THEM to court, which of course you wouldn't do because you know you'd lose more money: you were just trying to rip a defenseless tenant off of over £1K, like you probably do on a regular basis. The only reason this didn't happen is because I stepped in and helped her handling communications with Deposit Protection Scheme. 2) You imply that the deductions were to do with the state the property was left in. This is another lie. The main bulk of the money you were keeping (£950) was for the months left from the term initially agreed although she was forced to leave early due to the landlord needing the property. The landlord was happy for her to have her full deposit back, it was you and your deceitful terms and practices that were the problem. 2) The landlord himself was appalled that you'd be trying to rip off my girlfriend and apologized to her profusely. 3) The landlord was absolutely pleased with the immaculate state in which she left the house which was far better than it was handed to her in the first place. This was despite you lying when handing the keys to her saying that she didn't need to leave it any better than the state in which you gave it to her, which was pretty unprofessional... Read more

Excellent service moving in... However, moving out they procrastinate and delay. Lost job due to COVID-19 and rather than offer empathy or seek to be civil all they worry about is getting rent paid either from the tenant or government. They threaten with legal action rather than work with the tenants to find solutions. Should be investigated!... Read more

Was looking at a flat they had for rent in Hendon, London. Filled in all forms, to request viewing and they called back the next day - whilst I was at work, so of course I could not answer the phone whilst at work - got home from work and surprise surprise I found an email from these property agents where they emailed me at 5.58pm saying that they request and need me to turn up to the property (I requested) for viewing for 6pm. Giving me TWO MINUTES NOTICE to get to the property. Funny!!!! Funny was, they left voicemail to call back but as I was at work I could not answer a personal call and I was working in an environment where I am talking to customers ALL DAY I could not give my attention to a personal phone call. It was dead funny how they did not not ask where I work, or where I live etc and just ASSUMED that I'd be "free" and would be able to get to a viewing with only 2 minutes notice. Seriously common sense surely applies? I understand you are a business and needs to make money but do your brain should tell you to use your common sense (which should) tell you to give the customer more than 2 minutes notice to get to the property and to double check with the customer first if they are happy with the time and day of the appointment instead of assuming they are and should be free? What if they live more than 2 minutes away? I work at a job where I am in work from 9am until 10pm at night and I work in an area where I have BAD signal at work It also seems these people BRIBE people to write good reviews about them even if and when they write a review lower than 5* they bribe that person to change it to 5*. Just the way these guys have tried to bribe me with an offer of "We will give you so much discount off" for X or Y or Z off if you remove the review and change it. You know what they say, "If it sounds too good to be true" it prob is too good to be true and that there is SOMETHING wrong that they are not telling you about (until AFTER it has been dealt with... My partner and I were moving in together for the very first time so wanted to ensure that our transition into a rented property was smooth and as easy as possible. George Ioannou was our agent and he was brilliant. He helped and supported us at every turn, was very proactive and great with communication. He went out of his way to ensure that everything ran smoothly, offering viewings for my partner and I on 3 different occasions, which it did and we've now landed ourselves the property we wanted with no issues at all. I would very much recommend, George.... Read more

Funny was, they left voicemail to call back but as I was at work, my phone was on silent and in my bag, so I could not answer a personal call, or see the call until I finished work and I was working in an environment where I am talking to customers ALL DAY I could not give my attention to a personal phone call (hence why my phone was on silent. Now as far as I’m concerned a GOOD employee would have their phone on silent, in their bags when working, until they go on a break/finish work. I worked with people who are always on their mobile, doing no work - both perm and temp staff that is - and these guys expect me to answer them at all cost) It was dead funny how they did not not ask where I work, or where I live etc and just ASSUMED that I'd be "free" and would be able to get to a viewing with only 2 minutes notice. Seriously common sense surely applies? I understand you are a business and needs to make money but surely your brain should tell you to use your common sense (which should, unless you are stupid and have no common sense) tell you to give the customer more than 2 minutes notice to get to the property and to double check with the customer first if they are happy with the time and day of the appointment instead of assuming they are and should be free?
