From the moment I contacted them, the team were professional, friendly, and highly knowledgeable about the Cardiff property market. They made selling our home feel smooth and reassuring keeping us informed at every step, arranging valuations and viewings promptly, and always being approachable for questions. Their personal, attentive service really stood out, and I felt they genuinely cared about achieving the best outcome for us. The staff, especially Caroline, Brad and Suzanne, went above and beyond to make sure everything ran well, which I truly appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, client?focused estate agents in the Cardiff area!

5th Jun 2026 (23 days ago)Went to 5 estate agents initially but chose to commission Darlows after a confident pitch from their lead agent. We doubted the valuation but were assured due diligence had been conducted, so we went with their expertise. Within 2 weeks, the person we had been dealing with left and we were asked to reduce the price by £25k. Photographs were poor and we had to have a second set created. For the 20 week period of the contract, we only had 1 viewing but the marketing report showed 2 as they counted the visit of the photographer being a visit. The 1 viewing we had, the estate agent asked if the house was listed in front of the potential buyers, which showed à lack of market knowledge, which left us lacking any confidence moving forwards. The 2nd person who acted as our contact has now left the branch and once our contract ends we’re looking to commission a new estate agent. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience and sadly, we can’t recommend Darlows to anyone.- 1st Jun 2026 (27 days ago)Fantastic experience purchasing my new home through MGY. 2nd Aug 2025 (10 mo. ago)I had been with a different Estate Agent and had little interest, I changed to MGY and the team did a brilliant job. Photos and description were better, advertised wider, many more viewings and a successful purchaser. They’ve gone above and beyond.

She didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear, she told me what would maximise my chances of selling at a good price. I followed all her advice and sold at a better price than I’d dreamed of.

11th Jun 2026 (17 days ago)Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. A deduction was proposed from my deposit for a cracked window, but before obtaining multiple quotations or even arranging for a contractor to inspect the damage in person, a price was provided over the phone. The amount quoted appeared excessive and unreasonable. Throughout the process, I made it clear that I was not refusing to contribute towards a fair and justified cost. My concern was that no effort seemed to have been made to obtain a competitive or evidence-based quotation. I repeatedly asked for a more reasonable price or an independent assessment, but this was not properly addressed. I believe tenants should be treated fairly and any deductions from deposits should be supported by transparent and reasonable evidence. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.

They treat both landlords and tenants with genuine care, and that makes all the difference. Communication is always clear and timely, and I’ve always felt confident that my properties and tenants were being looked after properly. It’s rare to find an agency that balances professionalism with such a human touch.<br><br>Highly recommended.

They were incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and made all costs clear right from the beginning, which I really appreciated. My property was off the market within two weeks of our first meeting, which speaks volumes about their efficiency and expertise. Throughout the process, they were always available whenever I needed them, approachable, responsive, and genuinely helpful. A perfect balance of friendly and professional service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Any issues I had were handled promptly and with care, and communication was always clear and reliable. They made what can be a stressful experience feel smooth and reassuring, with excellent support from start to finish. I especially appreciated how they kept me updated and were always available to answer questions. If I could put 0 stars I would as I have never experienced such awful customer service and unprofessionalism - Writing on behalf of my family member. From the start of our renting journey with Chris John to the end when they had been taken over by MGY it was just an absolute nightmare. Rude staff, no urgency whatsoever to complete repairs even when urgent and just generally unprofessional. You can be waiting days if not weeks for a response or update. Even once we vacated the property the company continued to be rude and unhelpful. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Would also like to mention Lewis Manners and Sarah Bunting for their professionalism and always returning my numerous phone calls.
7th Jun 2026 (21 days ago)We have moved many times across the country and Matthews are far and away the best estate agents we have ever used. Deborah priced our house exactly right and worked tirelessly to get and manage our sale, despite challenging personal circumstances. The help and support she and David gave us when our solicitors went into administration was above and beyond. Deborah found us a new firm and helped expedite exchange and subsequent completion so effectively that we only lost about three weeks overall. Worth every penny of their fee and two of the nicest, most professional people you could meet. If you are thinking of selling your home do not go to anyone else.

Always ready to answer my questions and reassure me. The house sold quickly with three interested buyers which meant it sold for more than expected. Hopefully all will proceed smoothly but even if it doesn’t I trust the Hern and Crabtree team will be there to support the sale to completion.

He was extremely polite, patient, and professional throughout our conversation.
