We couldn't have asked for a more professional and streamline transaction. The level of contact was amazing and experience was some of the best we have come across.

26th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)I tried to help an elderly, vulnerable applicant rent a home through another agency that uses Let Alliance /Homelet for referencing. He has a CCJ from the Covid period, when he couldn't work because the country was shut down and fell behind on bills. We then tried this agency, and it uses the same kind of referencing process and company, with the same outcome. Neither seemed able to look at his circumstances beyond the automated result.
When we explained he was facing homelessness, the only response was "take it to the local PM." Agents should be able to offer a human review or an alternative route, such as a guarantor or a different referencing option, for applicants in exceptional circumstances.
In addition to the above the member of staff I spoke to told me she had work to do and could not deal with me. That was dismissive and unprofessional, particularly given what was at stake.

My purchase was far from straightforward, and there were plenty of moments where the deal could easily have stalled. Mark stayed on top of everything throughout. He kept communication flowing between all parties, chased answers when things went quiet, and worked hard to find solutions so both sides could keep moving forward. I genuinely don't think we'd have got it over the line without him.
Beyond being very good at his job, Mark is simply a decent, honest person. He was patient with my many questions, straight with me when there were problems, and never pushy. You can tell he actually cares about getting the right outcome for people, not just closing a sale.
If you're buying or selling in the area, I'd ask for Mark by name.
