20th Jun 2026 (13 weeks ago)Based on our own personal experience dealing with the Head of Sales at Laing Bennett, we found all the hype and the high levels of service on offer fell way short of the mark. Two very basic oversights/errors by the person in charge of Sales really was laughable although the head of sales took exception to her shortcomings when notified by email. The key failure and final straw on her part was her failure to properly arrange photography and a floor plan in one visit. Instead when arranging the third party company to carry out photography and a floor plan, she actually notified the company to carry out photography and an EPC in error. We didn’t require an EPC as our current EPC is valid until 2028. This meant it was going to be necessary for a second visit by the same company to complete a floor plan so wasted time for us and the photographer.<br><br>We had dealings with two other members of staff from Laing Bennett when they came to get an overview of the property and we must say what a contrast, both very professional and switched on which unfortunately wasn’t the case with the Head of Sales. The many positive reviews of this company are undoubtedly genuine, as is ours but on our experience we would have to suggest to any of our friends or colleagues looking to move, choose an alternative agent.
3rd Sep 2026 (14 days ago)Absolutely love working with Debra at Wards. We bought our house 8 years ago with her and just sold and purchased with her this year. Debra has fantastic customer service and Wards didn't send us to any viewings that weren't suitable as they knew exactly what we wanted. We managed to secure a house before it went on the market thanks to Wards and are extremely happy. Definitely advise to go with them rather than another agent in Rochester.

They were helpful, professional, and supportive throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable move agency. Highly recommended!
26th May 2026 (16 weeks ago)Duncan came to view and value our 6 bedroom property in Egerton …stayed for an hour and a half …. left promising to send detailed email valuation … two weeks later still nothing despite calling the office to check he had the correct details. Not very professional and not a good sign. Won’t be proceeding with savills

Sales progression is laughable, attention to detail is non existent. Avoid the stress, avoid this sleepy outpost!<br><br>Customer service and complaints process are a farce, so called "quality assurance director" refused to even discuss my complaint! It seems that it's perfectly acceptable for their estate agents to negligently misrepresent buyers position with total impunity. Bought and sold lots of properties and these are the worst I've ever used! Avoid, avoid, avoid!

He kept me in the loop at all times and progressed all parties at all stages until completion.- 30th Aug 2026 (18 days ago)Be Chapman and Samantha Turner from Wards (Kings Hill) have made our recent Kings Hill home purchase a breeze. Throughout the process they were always available to answer questions and clarify complex local town and procedural matters. Responses were always rapid and clear. We would most definitely appoint Wards (specifically Be and Sam) should we ever sell or buy a property in Kings Hill in the future.
30th Aug 2026 (18 days ago)Absolutely first class service, if I had another house to sell, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.<br>Completely professional, very friendly, and a team that works really well together.<br>We have just completed a difficult and drawn out house sale, but the individuals at Waghorns were incredibly tenacious, part of their success coming from being really personable and helpful to both sides, as well as keeping solicitors on the ball.<br>They take a genuine interest in the client and, despite any difficulty, are reliable and fun to work with. He was always professional, friendly and incredibly responsive, replying to emails and messages very quickly and answering all of my questions clearly. He kept me updated at every stage, which made the whole process much less stressful.<br>I particularly appreciated how proactive he was in helping the transaction progress. He regularly chased the seller's solicitor and other parties involved to help ensure we completed on time, which I really appreciated. His communication, efficiency and willingness to help made a big difference throughout the process.<br>It was a pleasure working with William, and I would highly recommend him and the John Payne team to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

Three or 4 months since property on market with Jack Charles just had one viewer. I have asked them to take the property off market. Mark is very honest and up front, he is customer centred. As a buyer I felt like he was on my side, which is rare. Kieran was very prompt, knowledgeable and professional. 16th Mar 2026 (6 mo. ago)Buying and selling a property is already a very stressful time and I found this estate agents overall poor, and general lack of communication exasperated what should be a simple part of the process in relation to viewing properties. I contacted the agency a number of times requesting a viewing to not get through to anyone or told to wait for a callback. When I did finally receive the confirmation, communication issues persisted with no replies to queries, a dead phone line when trying to call, and even a closed office even though we could see someone sitting in there. I was often given the excuse of a tech issue, but no other route to contact them was offered. We were left standing in the cold waiting for the viewing and 15 minutes late the door opened and it appeared the estate agent was waiting inside the whole time. I was very disappointed in the service and even if I was interested in the property I would think twice before buying in case the poor communication carried on delaying the sale.
