10th Nov 2025 (10 mo. ago)Avoid Hills Estate Agency at All Costs!! I have spent the past year being over-promised and massively under-delivered by Hills. The experience has been nothing short of a disaster. There has been a complete failure in communication from start to finish. I was repeatedly given “estimated completion dates” that never materialised, followed by weeks even over a month of no contact whatsoever. Because of their poor advice, I am now over £2,000 out of pocket. The unprofessionalism is staggering. Staff openly discussed the seller’s personal finances, telling me the seller “had no money” and describing them as “an absolute nightmare customer.” Imagine paying Hills thousands of pounds to sell your property, only for them to bad-mouth you to the buyer. Completely unacceptable. Given this behaviour, it’s no surprise there are so many negative reviews online. I submitted a formal complaint and received a response from Charlotte today no empathy, no apology. If this is how a director behaves, it’s clear why the rest of the staff follow suit. If you value your time, your money and your sanity, avoid Hills like the plague!! Useless!!

A tricky sale that went through several iterations but staff were patient and professional and got things done quickly. We would definitely use Reeds Rains again and in particular choosing a branch local to the property sold.

2nd Jul 2026 (11 weeks ago)As a nurse of 18 years, I had a stroke, I received full UC and PIP and also a private pension which leaves me with a better income than when I was a nurse, my next review is in 2029. All of this was included in the application enquiry form. I’ve have 10 years of private renting with no issues with rent or missed payments with tax etc I’ve passed all my housing inspections and can provide references from my last 2 landlords. I was told that there were no viewing slots available. So a few hours later using a different name I telephoned and surprisingly there are slots available! People should know that this company discriminates again disabled people. ( before anyone says they worried if my benefits are stopped! If they are stopped that means I am able to go back to the job I love serving people in our community).

31st Aug 2026 (14 days ago)Wouldn't recommend for anyone wanting to rent a property.<br>Coming across your reply four years later, I can safely say it is completely pathetic. If you had actually bothered to check, you would know I dealt with your company as a tenant for years.<br>?I was the tenant your agency left over an entire weekend with the sink and dishwasher full of sh*t because the drains blocked completely due to poor construction. It was full of sewage because your maintenance team is useless and failed to treat a critical emergency urgently—all while a young child was living in the house. I should have sued both you and the landlord.<br>?Do you need me to attach the photos of the service that your company left me and my family over the weekend so you remember who I am? Or perhaps I should forward them to the local council so they are fully aware of what kind of company you run?<br>?You are a tenant’s absolute nightmare. I ended up buying the property directly from the owner—the very house I was renting through your agency—and right up until the contract exchange, your office was harassing me to leave. The harassment only stopped when I instructed my solicitor to call your office.<br>Instead apologising you came up with a pathetic reply.<br>Couldn't care less about your reply, unfortunately I have just come across it after years, otherwise it would have been a completely different story??????- 14th Aug 2026 (4 weeks ago)Amazing amazing don't buy or sell ur home only with Reeds rains wigan amazing team amazing Janet Bolton and amazing Lewis amazing guy. 22nd Aug 2026 (23 days ago)I was a bit apprehensive about selling the property as it was my late Parents house but I could my fault J H Homes, the service was excellent. From the outset they made you feel valued the advice they gave using local knowledge meant that we achieved a sale at a price in excess of what the other two agents we had approached had suggested marketing the property at. They even found a buyer before it went in the open market by using their local contacts.
5th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)Houseclub provided excellent service when selling out mothers home they were confident in their valuation, of property, kept us informed of all viewings booked , not just by phone but by letter, always got feedback from viewings, negotiated for us when we accepted offer the buyer tried to then change goalposts, houseclub advised us and supported us to decline they really know the market and instilled confidence that we would get another sake which we did within a week at a higher offer , even helped us arrange EPC and got quotes for us when work needed doing, every staff member goes above and beyond

I’d give 10 stars if there were. Highly recommend ?

The sale was concluded quickly and we never had to chase for information. Finally, the fee was very reasonable and among the most competitive in the area. We would highly recommend them to anyone.
