28th Dec 2024 (20 days ago)This was a waste of my time, from the ad which was a copy paste from another property nearby. I knew from there, it wasn't going to be a good listing but unfortunately I couldn't cancel the agreement without incurring charges as apparently they had done some marketing. Communication is terrible - emails go unanswered and promises to call back are not fulfilled. I had to wait for the agreement to run its course and then take it off the market. Very disappointed as I had hoped for better.

Not only did they have a plan to sell the property, their marketing strategy was well considered and in line with our understanding of the demographics. Compared to others in the area, they knew the true value of the house and what could be achieved realistically. Their advice was spot on. It was truly great to find an agent that worked for and put the customer first rather than achieve a sale at any cost. Throughout the process David and his team kept us apprised of developments that could affect our thinking and our own purchasing plans. Park Lane achieved a sale almost exactly as predicted which in turn helped us buy our dream home. We cannot recommend David and his team highly enough. Now we know why they are award winning Agents!

12th Dec 2024 (5 weeks ago)We used Fine & Country for both the sale of our house and the purchase of the home we’re now living in. Initially our search started after we saw a house marketed by F&C that we really liked. At that point, we weren’t in the right position to move, but it opened our eyes up to the type of house we wanted. Nikki was great in the following weeks, putting other houses forward that might be of interest to us, which resulted in her sending through what is now our house. It needed work, but had great potential and exactly the footprint we were looking for. Nikki understood what we wanted and was aligned to our vision. Knowing we wanted this house, we also chose for F&C to sell our house. The setup process was easy and the house went on the market. In a challenging time to sell any house, interest was fairly low, but we ended up having a viewing that turned into an immediate offer, which helped us to secure the new house we wanted. F&C continued to support through the background until the houses were transferred and we were really happy with Debbie, Nikki, and Paula, who were all lovely to work with and very knowledgeable. Debbie was great helping us push all the paperwork through with the solicitors and keeping things on track. We’re very happy in our new house, so thank you.

Always kind, helpful and compassionate, taking the fear away "unlike many estate agents" when communicating with utter ease and respect at all times. I cannot thank you all enough over the last 5 years and would go back in a heartbeat for any future dealings or business. Amazing company!.

The staff have been great to deal with - from the initial valuation, to the photographing of our house and then the viewings for potential buyers. I can't fault them!
18th Mar 2024 (9 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We are very happy with our new house and are extremely happy that we went through this process with Wright and Co in Sawbridgeworth. Highly recommend this company! Nothing is too silly of a question or query and I tend to have a lot of them.

Mine was a difficult case with different pieces of puzzle scattered and Billy through his knowledge and experience helped me get the right picture on the case. He showcased true professionalism and with his knowledge made things easier for me to buy a property. I appreciate all his efforts and highly recommend him or Noble to buy/sell your property.

2nd Jan 2025 (15 days ago)I bought a house through Durden & Hunt in September this year. The process was easy and the staff were very helpful. James was the agent and Amanda was the sales progressor. James was very approachable and friendly and we never felt like he was trying to oversell or push us into making a decision, he gave us plenty of time to make decisions and was happy to take us for repeat viewings. Amanda was a fantastic sales progressor, she would chase almost daily (which is a good thing) and I really felt confident that she wanted to get things moved as quickly as possible. In the end I think we managed to get from offer to exchange in about 9 weeks which is pretty good going. I would thoroughly recommend using them in the area as I did not have close to the same sales experience with other larger agents in the area.- 20th Oct 2024 (13 weeks ago)I had just had an exceptional experience selling my home with Colubrid. Their expert pricing advice, excellent communication, and strategic marketing, including professional photography and online listings, led to multiple offers and a sale above the asking price. Their professionalism and dedication made the process smooth and stress-free and nothing ever seemed to be a problem when I had to contact them during the process. I highly recommend them and would use them again without hesitation.
