27th Mar 2024 (30 days ago)From the start of the process both Roxy and Sacha at Notley were great, making sure they managed our expectations in a hard market last year. They offered appropriate advice in regards to the value of our property and subsequently after changing to what they felt would work we had a viewing and an offer. It was then handed over to Sarah in the sales progression department after we offered on another house Hamilton Piers had listed. I cannot recommend or thank Sarah highly enough! Professional, personable and most of all patient when I called her multiple times asking for updates.... In my opinion she went above and beyond what her role requires and ultimately helped make our move happen when it needed too! Thank you all for helping us find and secure our dream home! Great agency all round :)

3rd Apr 2024 (23 days ago)Purchased an office chair recently, came incomplete, missing the whole middle part that puts everything together (see photo). The description did not mention anything about it being incomplete, it just stated "LAZBOY OFFICE CHAIR". The photos did not indicate that there would be missing parts. Now I'm out £168 and pieces of a chair. Please be careful and don't bid to avoid dissapointment and financial burdens.

We mainly spoke with Vanessa, Sue, Hannah and Nick and they were all friendly and supportive and so so helpful with finding a new place quickly when our circumstances changed. 14th Nov 2023 (23 weeks ago)I am not one to write bad reviews, however I am in shock with how badly I was treated & spoken to at Elwell Taylor. I contacted them about letting a commercial property for my small but fast growing business. I found a property that I liked and wanted to arrange a viewing. While the ladies that answered the phone were super helpful and friendly I was then unfortunately handed over to a gentleman named Sam Oliver. I explained to Sam that I was very interested in said property and I wanted to arrange a viewing, I had to wait 5 days to view this property as “ they don’t work weekends” which he abruptly told me on the phone & he couldn’t do the next working day either! I explained that the market is very hard to get into at the moment & things are being sold very quickly so I’m worried that I will miss out hence why I wanted to view the property earlier than 5 days time, he had no compassion on the phone and I felt like I was being spoken to like a child. I patiently waited until Tuesday (today) with hopes that his “bad mood” and “ bad customer service” was just one time thing as I can understand the last time I spoke to him was a Friday afternoon so he just wanted to get home. This wasn’t the case, I arrived at said property today and wasn’t even greeted, he didn’t introduce himself ( I had to find his name on your website). He didn’t talk me around the property and didn’t even know the answers to my very simple questions such as “where are the toilets located” “what are the business rates”. You would hope as an estate agent showing you around a place that they deal with they would know the answers! Shocking! Furthermore he proceeded to talk down to me and say that this “premises isn’t for me” and tried to say the he had told me that on the phone which he didn’t, I feel sorry for the person that owns this property as he wasn’t very good at selling it to me! After looking around the premises with no help or little information, I decided that even if it was for me I wouldn’t ever go for it if I had to deal with Ellwell Taylor again! It’s a shame that from day one It wasn’t a friendly experience, I felt like I was a burden to them! Rather than a customer who is wanting to pay good money for a property and generally needed information and help with finding a premises. He really let the company down with the way he spoke and the way he comes across! I run my own business and would be appalled if my team members spoke to clients like that! My complaint is simply the customer service and has nothing to do with the properties that I looked at, like I said even if I found my dream premises I wouldn’t even go for it if I had to deal with him! Such a shame!

20th Jan 2023 (1 year ago)I Was super unhappy with the service I received from Lux,I sold through them and really thought they where different, but in fact they worked more for the buyer rather than the seller which was really disappointing, I never really felt they told us the true situation in relation to the buyer.

I couldn’t fault them. They were always on hand to answer any questions or update me on the process. Nothing was too much trouble. If at any point I was to consider relocating to another property, I would certainly consider using them to sell my house. Lewis would give regular updates on prospective buyers, viewings and just generally kept me informed of all situations. It felt like he was working hard to get the right price for both myself and prospective buyers, I would highly recommend dealing with Lewis at Gilbert and Rose. After a sale was agreed I was put in touch with Claire Skilbeck who was my sales processor, Claire was great - she kept me fully informed throughout the sale, giving me regular updates and it felt like she was really pushing all sides to try and get the exchange/completion to happen smoothly and quickly.
