26th May 2026 (17 days ago)Well My house sale wasn't easy! Months of stress! and some sleepless nights.... Our Buyers lost their buyers, lower Chain difficulties attributed to It . All the usual woes however.... I want to say a big thankyou to Suzanne, warren , and not forgetting the lovely Georgia for easing my worry at times, listening to me Rant on about how terrible the system is which feels like gambling! yes i did go on a bit! yes i think they've earnt the commission. Would i use them again ? YES. One thing i wouldnt Gamble on is choosing another estate agent in Braintree, in my experience they have got sales over the line which is what matters. Ps.... i did do a little Jig to celebrate Georgia! Thanks team Brown. Rick

From the outset, Sigourney explained things clearly and sensitively, which made a very difficult and emotional process far easier to manage. Communication was always prompt, courteous, and reassuring, and I felt fully supported at every stage. What stood out most was the calm and compassionate manner in which matters were dealt with. I always felt treated with patience, respect, and understanding, and nothing ever felt too much trouble. The professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail gave me complete confidence throughout the probate process. I would not hesitate to recommend Leonard Gray to anyone requiring probate or estate administration services. Thank you again for your dedication and excellent support during such an important and difficult time.
15th May 2026 (28 days ago)After exchange of contracts we received no communication from WH Brown at all. They made no arrangements for collecting our keys before completion. On our moving day we were requested to drop off our keys at the WH Brown office. As can be imagined we had so many other things to do on what is a very stressful day and subsequently was unable to drop off our keys. We are an elderly couple and consider that WH Brown could have been more supportive and provided a better service taking into account the commission fee charged.

9th Jun 2026 (3 days ago)5 starts purely for Kyra Naomi, we ended up enduring a 9month sale that was not straight forward and Kyra was attentive the entire time. Most people in this situation would give up or not be bothered as it took so long but Kyra was always on the phone or available by text never an issue. Great employee. TA did not act on behalf of me but Kyra was great to deal with.

From the very first moment Alex Durden came to value our property, his passion and enthusiasm really stood out. He always had time for us and consistently went above and beyond to offer guidance, advice, and — most importantly — reassurance throughout the whole process. Selling a home can be stressful, but Alex made us feel supported every step of the way. Jane was also incredible from start to finish. Her kind words and calm, friendly manner made such a difference during what could have been a very overwhelming time. She made every viewing feel friendly, relaxed and positive, always ensuring there was no pressure at all. Jane kept us feeling optimistic and confident, and we always felt she genuinely cared about getting the right result for us, not just a quick sale. A huge thank you as well to Kezia, who was amazing with chain checking and keeping everyone reassured and informed right up until exchange. Our original sale ended up falling through, which was really stressful at the time, but they both worked hard to get everything back on track and managed to resell it quickly for even more money than before. We had a few agents come out to value our property, but we decided to go with Colubrid because, from our first meeting, Joshua seemed extremely confident that he could sell our home quickly. As the Chelmer Village estate agent, he explained that properties like ours are his bread and butter. Our property went on the market on Thursday and was sold by Monday. I cannot thank Joshua and the team enough for their hard work and professionalism throughout. I believe Millie conducted the viewings, and I was told she was local to the area. That certainly showed, as her knowledge of Chelmer Village helped generate multiple offers on our property. If you're thinking of choosing Colubrid, don't hesitate. I would highly recommend them.

1st Jun 2026 (11 days ago)Alfie was lovely when he came to value the house, the photos were really nice , Then thats where it all ended really. Our house was on the market for 10 weeks and we had 1 viewing, The reasoning given by the agent was because we were on the main road. they stated that they have 350 customers looking for a 4 bed house but could only get 1 through my door. Meanwhile the local agent has sold 2 other properties on the main roads in our village. Yes our house isn't for everyone, because its 130 years old , but the law of averages should mean we get more than 1 viewing.After a month with no viewings we were advised to drop the price by 25k so we did. The for sale board didn't have a contact number on it and it was difficult to know who the agent was. On the day of the viewing the Rep from the agent was late so i ran the viewing, I had to chase the agent for feedback, then a week or so later the agent called again, to tell me the market was buoyant, not at our house, then he advised that we could possibly drop the price again, thats not happening. I dont feel like there was much estate agenting going on in the background, just chuck it on zoopla and rightmove and see what happens. I could have done that with purple bricks and saved fees if it sold.Dont get me wrong, Alfie is a nice guy but the overall experience was lacklustre in my opinion.
