Appalling level of service.
I have been letting my property for 2 years with Abbotts and was assured the first inspection was completed. I didn't feel the need to follow up with this, as I pay for a 'managed' service so wanted to reduce my time spent and in turn additional stress. It has now come to light when asking for evidence of this (due to the tenants reluctance at me coming with a contractor to fix something) that no inspections have been made. Even more frustrating is that no apology has been made, just ignored emails and calls. It is now being investigated by the internal complaints department prior to the Property Ombudsman.
Through Abbotts negligence my property I expect will now have significant damage. Abbotts also asked if I wanted a boiler service through their contractor but I informed them I had already organised this myself. My plumber arrived only to be told that the boiler had been serviced as the tenants had assumed the contractor Abbotts had sent, was my plumber. Abbotts then tried to make me pay for this, despite it being their own error through overlooking my email and me still having to pay my plumber. I decided to get the property valued, sales team called only to get myself mixed up with the tenants and my name wrong. This wouldn't normally be a major issue but when you want to trust someone to sell something of such value and a professional service to enhance the sale of your property this isn't very re-assuring......my advice on both sales and lettings......go elsewhere.
