31st Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)This agency is horrific there flat leaked for months over a year & still not sorted. I have pictures the mould there flat caused is shocking. This is a HEALTH PROBLEM as Mould is a living organism. Which is extremely dangerous but WHITEGATE keep putting back to sort. I will be taking up this issue further as I'm sick of asking. Anyone who wants to see pictures or can help to lead me to best people to claim against this agency let me know please. Thanks

The communication and work done to look after my property and tenants has improved tenfold. Thank you, as I had quite a few problems with the property management before, but I now feel my property is in safe hands. Thea, thank you for all you are doing to manage my property. ????
10th Feb 2024 (7 mo. ago)Unfortunately Shortland Horne had my property on their books for 19 weeks and only managed to secure 2 viewings in that time frame One of those viewings was a buyer that could only offer £30k below the asking price due to mortgage restrictions I was advised to reduce the price by £10k but this still didn't yeld viewings or offers despite the property being completely renovated with no chain I was impressed with the pitch when choosing an estate agent and chose Shortland Horne over others but the reality of the selling process has not met expectations

13th Aug 2024 (30 days ago)I’d originally only left a one star rating here and wasn’t going to air my grievances in public. Though, since I’ve now been accused of being a ‘troll’ by the business owner I don’t have any more reservations. Dealing with Tom at Kingsman was stressful and confusing at times. With all my experience of buying and selling I still can’t quite understand the way in which he operates. After entering into renegotiations I never understood why Tom would re-advertise the house we’re buying without telling us. After Tom then received other rival offers on the house, I don’t understand why he would disclose someone else’s offer to us; egging us on to try and beat it. After we trumped the rival offer by thousands, I wouldn’t expect to be told to jog on. I do wonder what, if anything, he has advised his client for them to reject this free money. We’ve had a few messages from Tom updating us on some work the vendor is doing to the house, all followed by a ‘but you’re not buying it anyway.’ Why even bother? Now we’re a couple thousand pounds down because this vendor has been poorly advised, all while the business owner is calling my review ‘fake’. Why not reach out to ask why we’re so annoyed with your staff?

18th Mar 2024 (25 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

13th Aug 2024 (30 days ago)I initially chose to get 5 separate estate agents to value my late mothers home, of which Zak from HR Estates shone brightly above the others. My initial thoughts and gut instincts served me well as Zak helped us feel at ease and kept us fully informed at every level through the entire experience from day one until completion. I highly recommend this very eager to please and professional young man, he is super polite, makes no false promises, a man of his word and the total opposite of the stereotypical estate agent. His calm and friendly but totally professional approach made a difficult time so so much easier and bearable. If you read this Zak once again thank you for everything, we truly are grateful.
10th Sep 2024 (2 days ago)I was watching Jack doing a viewing through my ring doorbell last night. It is the first time I have ever heard an estate agent actually selling the house. Jack constantly put value on the positives of our home and was very efficient at handling the viewers negatives. Refreshing!
