2nd Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)Graham, and the team at Curchods New Haw provided excellent service through our house sale with them. I chose Curchods for a few main reasons vs the other agents that valued our property. One being that Graham has sold two homes for my family in the past and we were happy with him then. Reason two was when Townley conducted the valuation unlike the other agents that just wanted my business he told me what he would need us to do to the property if he was to market it which I appreciated the honesty with. The other reason was that according to get agent Curchods perform best in the area. It wasn't an easy sale at times with various issues elsewhere in the chain but Graham kept everything moving for us and got the job done. Thanks Team.

30th Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)Do not rent from Curchods. Shocking experience. They will do anything to keep your deposit. Anything! This includes fabricating issues on check out. Great example why estate agents have a bad name. Ignore this at your peril. 1 Star is generous. I'll do the reply for you: Dear Harry, sorry to hear this. We pride ourselves bla bla bla.

22nd Aug 2024 (20 days ago)Tallulah Dowding showed her expertise and professionalism while helping with the property management of a flat we own. At a few hours' notice, she found a company to deep clean the property and then negotiated a deposit release with the tenants. Tallulah was helpful, completely on top of the situation and always prompt with her communication. Excellent work!

Josh helped advise us during negotiations, and helped us keep track of things at the house while we live abroad.

15th Aug 2024 (27 days ago)Seymours worked with me recently to try to find a property as I am looking to downsize. The search is now on hold temporarily but their service was excellent. In particular Serena who was my main contact. Really well informed about the local area and she took a lot of time to really understand what I am looking for. Friendly and helpful and excellent at staying in regular contact without pressuring me. Would definitely want to use her again when I resume my search next year.

27th Aug 2024 (15 days ago)The reason agents have a bad name. Unlawful fees? Check False promises? Check Twisted communications? Check Ignorant? Check Will they lie? Check Will they steal? Check The list sadly goes on. Whilst this review is merely an expression of my opinion, it is one reached after 7 years of interaction. I rented a 4 bedroom house from them, and they acted as agent for the landlord who I never met. After viewing the house, it was agreed a lot of work was needed to make it a habitable family home. The agent very clearly agreed, and we struck a deal based upon basic things such as cleaning and painting would be done for us to enable a fresh start. On move in day we arrived to find none of this had been done, and when we raised the issue, we were told: ‘just leave it as you find it.’ This of course was unacceptable as the house, as-well-as dirty, was actually unsafe. When we left, they ignored us for months, and then tried to steal our deposit on the grounds that the house needed works!!! Saying that the check I had been lost and all issues were down to us. After taking this to the authorities they ruled, correctly, against the agents. However, this does not make us for months and years of stress and risk. Avoid like the plague. UPDATE: The case went the tenancy deposit scheme’s arbitration, and although it took several months, I received everything. The landlord chose to also blame the agent for the issues.

Right from the initial meeting, Andy Gearing (who personally oversaw the entire process) inspired confidence that they knew the local market best, with a refreshingly straight talking and data-driven approach. I've been treated to a first-class service throughout by Andy and every member of his team, who've been incredibly proactive, communicative and pleasant to deal with. Exceptional and Highly Recommended!
28th Jul 2024 (6 weeks ago)Im not one for such negative reviews but avoid this estate agents !!! I’m astonished how this branch has such high ratings as separate experiences as a tennant and prospective buyer have been nothing short of appalling. As a tennant coming up for renewal, the negotiation agent ghosted. For months. We had to chase multiple times over email and phone for over 2 months! When ringing the branch and saying the name the handler on the other side said this negotiation agent had had complaints by multiple other tennants waiting & it had been raised with her manager but she had gone on annual leave for a few weeks & cases had not been handled to someone else. When chasing with her manager we had to wait another 3 weeks. We contemplated emailing the landlord directly to tell him this because quite honestly not worth the fee the landlord is paying from our rent. If you get Mia Bearne at the branch I would suggest asking for someone else or taking your business elsewhere depending if you’re a tennant or landlord. How someone still has a job with multiple complaints against them I don’t know. It was her & realising she worked at this branch that sparked the need to write this review after the following has also previously happened here…. Noah, although kind, was similarly awful. I was looking at a property which on auction joint with Pattersons. At the time in their window it said nothing about the property being on auction. To be honest I think they did the seller of the property a huge disservice in bad advice on the both the price, the strategy and then telling him to do it by auction. It would have sold way more quickly & simply with a slightly lower price and without the auction. The communication between the auction house and Noah wasn’t great and I was hounded by both men in the middle of the working day multiple times days in a row. Noah said he would get back to me on something. He never did. I went into branch to chat to him, a colleague took my email and number for him to follow up which never happened. We then ended up in the bizarre scenario where the property was both for sale on the auction site and had already been let, with a let agreed by the Woking branch. What’s worse is I had to tell both the west byfleet branch and the auction house of this as I found it on Rightmove as let agreed whilst it was still on sale. This was news to all the others involved. As a seller it seems they give you poor advice & if they suggest the auction with pattinsons I suggest you run a mile. As a landlord they ghost good tennants of 0 information during contract renewal and as a result really don’t deserve the fee you pay them. As a buyer similarly extremely poor in communication & have no clue what’s going on amongst themselves between branches. From these multiple separate bad experiences I would suggest everyone simply takes their business elsewhere to somewhere better.
