William at Matthew James was knowledgeable, friendly and very pleasant to deal with. We really liked the fact that as a company, they didn’t feel really ‘pushy’. Once we had an offer, James was great at keeping in touch and making sure things progressed smoothly. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others!
30th Jul 2025 (15 weeks ago)Be careful using this agent in Colliers Wood. We had a property manager called Jade, who seemed friendly and helpful at first but on check out disputed our deposit and refused to change the check out appointment so we could attend which led to us having to go through an extended battle through the deposit scheme (we managed to get most it back thankfully). I would suggest that anyone deciding to rent using this agent takes throughout photos of all damages and issues in the property they rent and meticulously records them, emailing the agent immediately. Despite us informing them on arrival that most of the furniture was broken, the landlord refused to repair or replace it and then on check out the report stated this was new. Effectively they used a different check out process to the check in, did not share any of the reports from interim 6 monthly inspections and then tried to claim at the end of the tenancy that issues caused by the previous tenant were ours to fix. We transparently included in our application that we dog sit regularly for a friend and our application was accepted but the agent failed to notify the landlord who then stated that we had breached our contract. Jade and the team may seem friendly (when they are trying to get your money) but they only have their landlords interests in mind. The properties themselves have really poor ventilation and despite the car park being ‘secure’ a car was stolen in the space right next to ours & no cameras are installed in the area. Rent here at risk.
25th Oct 2025 (16 days ago)I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences over the years with Estate Agents, but The Personal Agent in Epsom has definitely bucked that trend. My mother recently sold her bungalow through them: it’s not been an easy sale but the staff there have been first class, especially Sarah Goddard in their sales progression department and Ray Steward, another member of staff. Always friendly , willing to help and both have kept us fully informed of the sale progression. From start to finish, they were incredibly helpful, supportive, and always available whenever I needed them. Both Paul and Liam went above and beyond — constantly following up with the seller and their solicitor to keep everything moving smoothly. Thanks to their dedication and quick communication, we managed to complete the purchase within a very tight timeline. Their professionalism, friendly approach, and genuine care made what could have been a stressful process feel so much easier. I’m truly grateful for all their hard work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. Thank you, Paul and Liam, for helping me secure my new home!

He was super helpful, understanding, great communication and all round we had a really nice experience buying our first home! It really felt like we were all in it together and we got there in the end! I would highly recommend John D Wood as an Estate Agent, as it really didn't feel like working with a super large chain corporation, they were much more personable. Thanks for all of your work throughout!

Everyone at the office in Leatherhead has been just brilliant, but most especially Frank who was my day to day contact - staying professional yet ever cheerful through a long, tedious and complicated sale - I'm so grateful for the time and dedication he put in to getting the sale across the line, and making a stressful situation so much easier!

On the last viewing told us we had secured it in the Saturday only to be told on the Tuesday that there was a higher bid. We have been brought in as a bidding baite in this property. Avoid this agent! No office to even call in

They're not just the best locally, they are head and shoulders above all other agents I've come across. Chris and his team are a very tidy outfit - they managed my sale (which wasn’t easy) with a level of professionalism I haven’t experienced before - he steered the whole process calmly, politely and got the best result for me and my family. His team are friendly, positive and above all knowledgeable - they know how to sell a property and give it 110% every time. Don’t think about using the competition go with Chris at S&B it will save you time, money and a whole heap of stress. I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough. They go above and beyond in all aspects. Thanks so much guys and girls!
