26th Sep 2024 (27 days ago)Never use Barnard Marcus Ewell or Epsom - I had 3 valuations booked in with them. The first cancelled the day before and the second cancelled an hour before - both times I had had to arrange working from home around my busy job. The third time I got a call from Annabel 10 minutes before the valuation with them with her trying to do the valuation on the phone and said as I wasn’t a ‘hard sale’ they weren’t going to bother coming to see my home and that they’d seen similar before. She then laughed and said I probably should have told you this before as you’ve probably been waiting in, extremely unprofessional. To top it off I got a call from someone different at Barnard Marcus that afternoon asking how my house hunting was going - clearly there is absolutely no communication within the office. They’ve now potentially lost a sale and future purchase from me and many of my friends who are currently climbing the property ladder.

Thank you to the team at Matthew James for making the somewhat daunting task of purchasing my first home as simple as possible. A massive shout out to Julian for finding the perfect flat for me and helping me through the offer process and then to James who guided me from offer to completion. James kept me informed at every stage and was always available for any questions I had which as a first time buyer was invaluable. If I ever sell or purchase in the future I would have no hesitation on working with Matthew James again - can't recommend enough!

Anna M was very friendly at our viewing, as well as Sam who helped us in the first stages of our house purchase. And a big thanks to Frank who was constantly in touch to eventually get us over the finishing line!

She always kept me informed about the progress, ensuring that I was never left in the dark. The Surbiton office overall is brilliant, friendly and swift. We work with Elizabeth and Joe and couldn’t ask for a more knowledgable and helpful service from them. Their standards are best in class and we hope to work with them for many more years to come. Cannot recommend enough!

He helped me with advice on the process we should take for the sale . He was extremely helpful when we had our buyer with negotiations. We have recently completed with expert service from start to finish.- 22nd Dec 2021 (2 years ago)I cannot say enough about V&H Homes and specifically Maria at the Ashtead Branch. While they are a smaller independent agent, they will absolutely give you the personalized service that an independent can provide. Give those big estate agents in Surrey a miss, take your business to V&H. The communication throughout the process was exemplary, the dedication to getting the sale was second to none. We had tried to sell previously with the usual suspects in Surrey and none of them could get the sale and it seemed hopeless, V&H got it done in 10 days! There were many times in our sale where things got rocky and Maria went well over and above day in and day out to ensure that everything went through. I truly believe that if we had went with another big establishment high street agent that our sale would not have happened. While Maria was absolutely amazing, we also had interactions with the other associates at Ashtead V&H Homes. When Maria was out of office our file was well looked after, the service didn’t slip at all which is very rare in a sales situation. As I said at the beginning of this review, I really can’t say enough about Maria and V&H. These days reviews are either 5* or 1* and it’s getting more and more difficult to sift through them to make a decision. This is 100% a genuine 5* review. Were there issues in the sales process, of course there were, we were selling a house. But it wasn’t about the issues, it was about how they were handled, the speed at which they were handled, and the fact that when something came up we were never left to worry, V&H were always just a phone call or e-mail away. Thank you so much Maria and V&H Homes for the personalized service and all the time and effort that you spent on our file. We absolutely owe our sale and the fact that we are snugly in our new home all to you! Very best regards, Danny

Special mention to Chris who sold us the house at the first visit. His support throughout the process was the reason we did not freaked out at any moment till the completion day. Lastly thank you Jason and rest of the team to looking after us till the end.
11th Oct 2024 (12 days ago)Liam and his team have been great with my sale. Out of all the estate agents I reviewed he was the most personable and honest. My sale has been difficult with various sales falling through for different reasons but Liam has managed to secure a buyer quickly without applying pressure on me to drop my price each time. I also had to pull out of a chain sale twice, and the first time Rob was amazing at keeping me calm and buying me time to decide what I wanted to do. Great people skills. The sales progression team agent Sarah has been amazing. I’m now at the stage where exchange has happened and it’s a few days from completion and I’m very grateful for their help. I don’t think I could have done this without her and Liam’s support and chasing. Even with our new purchase Liam responded instantly and helped with making sure we could prove our sale had gone through. Something which he didn’t have to do as quickly as he did as it doesn’t benefit him. Thank you again I would use Laurels again!
